“Family weekend in Beer and Otterton”
Reviewed May 2, 2018 for a stay in April 2018

The Granary was perfect for our family trip with small grandchildren - the house has loads of open room downstairs - you can be cooking and still able to keep an eye on toddlers. The terrace and large table also great for a big group - weather so nice Friday evening we ate outside. As other reviews - the house is well equipped and towels are supplied as well as bed linen. Tesco at Seaton a relatively short drive for a full shopping trip - it is not a location where you can 'just pop out for a pint of milk'
The Granary would be the perfect house for a catch up with family or friends - there is even a cupboard full of board games, and dvds for overtired little people.
Mike ,the owner, lives right on site - we had no problems but are sure he would have been right on it if we had.

What a wonderful setting for this beautiful property.10 adults and 3 dogs have just spent a truly lovely week here. The property is so close for Seaton, beer ,and Lyme Regis you are spoilt for choice. The views from the patio and rooms of the cottage are amazing over endless acres of peaceful unspoilt countryside. A true gem of a place. Well done Mike it ticked every single box for us and we will be back for certain .

“Cosy, clean, roomy & well equipped for Christmas!”
Reviewed March 7, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Great place to stay. Clean comfortable, well equipped and cosy. Friendly host kept us stocked up with wood for the open fire which made it a perfect place for Christmas. Private yard/garden is a gorgeous morning sun trap even in December!
If WIFI in all rooms is important to you and your family then this might not be the house for you! Wifi was non existent but we didn't complain to the owner because we didn't mind - it was nice to get a break from WIFI to be honest!

“Gert lush !!”
Reviewed March 7, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

A group of friends have been staying at this property for a weekend in December for the past 5/6 years. The Granary has a perfect open plan layout so that everyone can be together in the kitchen/dining/lounge area. The location is very quiet & peaceful. The coast is a shortish drive away but if you want peace & quiet this is the place !!

“Home from Home”
Reviewed January 21, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

A real family place to stay, recently visited for our Daughters 40th taking the whole family 6 Adults and 4 Grandchildren plus dogs. Everybody settled in immediately, the place has the atmosphere to put everybody at ease, it is not too posh that you worry what children or pets are up to, but just comfortable and relaxing to the extent it is home from home. We found it to be very well equipped, and located in an area that is really peaceful despite being on a working farm. It is well placed to explore the attractions of both South Devon and South Dorset.Grandchildren loved Nobby the Ostrich
Hope to arrange a return visit soon if we can all co-ordinate.
