We stayed in The Granary for four nights. The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated. The owners were friendly and helpful. The setting is absolutely gorgeous - unbelievably quiet with rolling hills all around, and the river Coly nearby if you want to do a riverside walk into the town of Colyton. The welcome groceries were a lovely touch too. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We stayed In the smaller cottage. It was very very nice Nature all around us. Horses, sheep, rabbits, pheasants and birds.

The views are just amazing in all directions. The area is beautiful and close to the jurassic coast. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a week at Barritshayes' Swallows Cabin - a rural retreat just for two. It is completely private as it faces away from the main farm house - you are not over-looked at all and the views are far-reaching with lovely sunsets. At night the skies are black and all you can hear is nature. It was such a lovely place to come back to after time away exploring the area that we found ourselves coming back earlier and earlier just to enjoy being there. The hosts are friendly, welcoming and helpful, but never over solicitous. We will definitely be paying a return visit.

Spent a lovely week in the swallows cabin at the beginning of July, the accomodaition was lovely, good for couples as it is set away from the main house, and well equipped.
Gordon an Liz the owners were lovely and vey imformative about the local area without being intrusive.
There is a lovely pool, games room, and tennis court so you can stay on site and relax, or tour the local area on foot as there are some lovely walks. Lyme regis is fab, and only 20 Mins away by car. Watch out for the cows on the way up to the farm !!!!
Lovely stay will be back.

We stayed in the Granary this time and the cabin previous. The accomodation is spotlessly clean & well equipped with everything you need from a cheese grater to a hair dryer. Liz stocks the kitchen with eggs, butter & bread and there is always condiments in the cupboards to start you off. Flowers on the table & leaflets for days out. Bathroom & kitchen are stocked with soap, shower gel, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, toilet cleaner etc etc at the end of the cottages there is a washer dryer you can use aswell. Each cottage has a fenced garden area so idea for children, the pool is close by. There is a tennis court, superb games room, swing & slide, croquet lawn for the adults & beautiful views. Feeding time for the sheep & horses at 6pm which the kids (& adults). Its so good that you may not want to visit anywhere the first days of your stay, just enjoy the peace & quiet & countryside. The farm is close to colyton where we would reccomend the local butchers for supplies & a short walk to Lyndons dairy for the best coffee & a cream tea! Lyme regis is a short drive away, which is the most loveable place, park in the first carpark at the op of the hill, only £1.70 for the whole day (although it is a steep climb back). Only the Granary cottage has a bath so I would reccomend this one as I do enjoy my time in a nice hot bath!!! I looked around the B&B and have to say the queen size room looked lovely. Happy Holidays.

Room Tip: Go for the granary cottage (bath & shower)
