We have had a super week here at the Old Oak Barn, relaxing with our 5 year old, 2 year old and 3 month old! We have loved visiting the local beaches and then returning to the peace and calm of the barn in the evening. The kids loved their adventures into the woods to the hut and rope swing....and their "bear hunt!"

A highlight was feeding the chickens and visiting the swings. We have had a super time and can't recommend this place enough for families with children. Thanks for all your kindness and the beautiful sweet peas Charlotte and Jerry

This is a wonderful, peaceful, away from it all base for a holiday in Carmarthenshire. Very handy for a range of wonderful beaches, castles and other child-friendly destinations, and the accommodation is great for children with lots of toys, garden swings, stream to paddle in etc. But when the children have gone to sleep you can relax on the patio with a beer and enjoy the burble of the stream and birdsong. The accommodation is perfect, clean and modern, and you are only 10 minutes from the shops and amenities of St Clears. Highly recommended.

Old Oak barn is a beautiful cottage in stunning surroundings. Very well equipped and comfortable. Perfect for families, our kids love the garden with swings and the stream. Walk into the woods and you will find a fantastic picnic/BBQ area with swings, seating, BBQ, wooden house and an amazing view across the countryside. Ideal location for the A40/A447 and easy drive to the beaches at Tenby, Saundersfoot, Pendine and attractions such as Folly Farm, Oakwood and Heatherton. Local wildlife is excellent. Charlotte and Gerry are very welcoming and the children love feeding her chickens! A beautiful, peaceful get away which we plan to visit again and again and again.

A fantastic find. We loved our week at Old Oak Barn. The layout of the cottage works brilliantly and our 2 children (3 and 5) couldn't get enough of clambering down the steps to the lawned area with swings. I think they thought we couldn't see them - but you can find a great view from the patio whilst you're enjoying a glass of wine and flipping the burgers on the BBQ! Our host was very genuine, warm and friendly. Help was always available and the suggestions offered for our trips out were brilliant. But we were also left to enjoy our holiday which suited us perfectly. The cottage is easy to get to being not far from main roads but completely tranquil and rural. A winning combination! Lots to see locally and the Pembrokeshire coast is in easy reach. A great base with very good facilities. Always a pleasure to come home to and difficult to leave!

A beautiful property in a lovely peaceful setting, very clean, well equiped, really comfortable bed, an excellent quality barn conversion . Only 5 / 10 minutes drive from the A40 and St Clears with its takeaways and a well stocked co-op, though you would think you are miles from anywhere ! No traffic noise at all. Very friendly, helpful owner. Great base for exploring this beautiful part of Wales, with lots of things to see and do in the area, and the beaches are also in easy reach. Although it was nice to just sit and relax on the patio listening to the birds and do nothing at all !
The perfect place for children to get out in the fresh air and have freedom without having to worry about them. There`s a great den in the woods and a little stream to paddle in, and such a gorgeous well equiped bedroom.
We have been enjoying cottage/barn holidays for a few years now and are quite fussy about where we stay, and this did not dissapoint at all. It is definately a place we would like to return to at any time of the year, and would recommend without hesitation.
If you are wanting a relaxing get away from it all break, or a base to explore the area, then this is the place for you ! Though sssshhhhhhhh.......don`t tell everyone !!!

Lovely place, it was really lovely and clean, which is always a relief, the kids loved it there. Baby chicks were born that day on the farm, which Charlotte and Gerry let us see and pet. They were so sweet. We got to say hello to the chickens, see the tractors, the sheep and the family cat.

Its so well equipped, we have a 1 year old and 2 year old, and they provided lots of stuff for us, so we didn't need to haul an extra travel cot, and many other large essentials with us, including toys, they had lots of lovely toys and books there for the kids.

Charlotte and Gerry were extremely helpful, and by doing little extra things, made our stay here special.

Thanks so much guys, we had a lovely stay, and will probably be back for a proper holiday soon!!
