“Long walk - Nice Waterfall”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Munduk Waterfall. 500m (or more!) walk down a steep, narrow mountain track, dodging a constant stream of local kids on motorbikes. Yep, kids on motorbikes on the narrow track filled with tourists. Almost at the bottom you need to pay Rp.5000. The single waterfall is not that spectacular and not worth the climb back up if you aren't fit. Large pond at base of fall and rock spillway. Toilet facilities at the roadside stop area only. Don't attempt if you aren't fit. Would not bother to do again.

“Beautiful and peaceful waterfall”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

We never heard about this waterfall and planned to visit Gitgit. Our guide offered to skip Gitgit waterfall, because, according his words, it is too commercialized. We agreed and think that it was right decision. No crowd at all. We walked through the forest, the path is quite convenient. The way back was not such an easy walk due to the heat.

Pay attention to very nice small flows of water on the left side of waterfall

“Beautiful waterfall without the crowds.”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

We set out early from Puri Alam Bungalows and followed the locals path along the river to the top waterfall. It was an easy trek and well worth the effort. The walk is through lush vegetation. The waterfall is about 200m high and very impressive. You are able to walk right up to the falls very easily. Another find, was the newly opened Akar Asih warung on the western side of the main road just down from Puri Alam Bungalows. They had only been open a week and the food was delicious. The view of cloves plantations and rice fields with the backdrop of 3 mountains makes Munduk a fantastic place to enjoy the scenery.

“Go earlier!”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Not hard to reach here even without a guide, but for me a bit crowded, that time I went was around 11am,so go earlier if you want to enjoy it alone.maybe dangerous during wet season, better to have a local guide accompany you!

“Highlight of my holiday!”
Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

The cool waters of Munduk Warerfalls were a welcome relief on a hot and humid day. A natural beauty and made the winding mountain roads worth navigating! A Bali Must See!!!!!
