“Valentines night dinner and stay over”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

Well what to say, been past this place a few times and thought must give it a try. Booked dinner and a room for valentines night for me and my wife. The whole place is very clean and tidy, the room we had 207 was great, very clean, and comfy, The food is very good, alcohol shakes a must, brilliant value for the money and staff very helpful. All made it a very pleasurable stay and will DEFIANTLY be going again, in fact looking forward to it already. thank you Jane and staff for making it a valentines night a night to remember.

Room 214 great but bathroom a little small but you dont stay much in there do you ?!
Very clean, bed very comfortable and a great place to stay. Prices very reasonable- the breakfast was excellent - choice of American style or English and it was just utterly delicious- staff mainly young, really cute uniforms and so helpful - just a complete credit to the owners. Would highly recommend! A**** definately stay again - what a find !
Slight downside was that we did hear the couple in the next room.. but it wasnt too loud just made us chuckle !

Room Tip: Room 214 quiet even though looked out on main road !

I found the check in painless, I was not really prepared for how small the single room was (I found it a bit claustrophobic), that said the quality was plain to see, it had everything you needed, and it was well organised (plenty of power sockets etc) it had a small, but beautiful bathroom that they had spent time, and money on, with a good quality shower enclosure, heated towel rail etc. Maybe it was because it was new (or seemed like it) but everything was mint, I had a bit of a job viewing the tv properly because the room was so small, but the bed was great, the room was better quality than most, and the diner at the front was a joy to behold, I only had a bacon sarnie but it had excellent quality bacon that had been, I think chargrilled, and cooked to perfection, the waitress even took the trouble to disturb me (as I was half asleep) to remind me that if I wanted a bacon sandwich etc, I should "order now as breakfast will finish soon" (I think she read my mind) This place is well organised, and definitely not done on the cheap, attention to detail is obvious, A Class Act. Would I stay again, the answer is, without doubt, but I would book a double next time.

Room Tip: Book a double as the single is tiny.

We booked the 7 Diner Hotel for on night as we were going to a family party nearby.
We were given Room number 101 on the ground floor right next to the Reception. The window looked straight onto the picnic area outside next to the hotel entrance and we felt that the room was not that private.
Also, during the daytime, the noise of the door into Reception banging shut got rather irritating.
The room itself was very small but clean and more than adequate for our one night stay. The bed for comfortable and the shower was lovely and hot with good pressure.
Plenty of spaces to park and free wifi.
We will stay again for the next family get together.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor and not 101!

We stayed here on a deal over the period just after Christmas, £29.95. Compared to a similar deal at a chain hotel this was fantastic value as the hotel/diner has a clear theme and character.

There is plenty of parking, the room was clean and well fitted out with flat screen TV, working freeview, big bath/shower etc. Check in was quick by a member of the diner staff who did a good job even though it was not his main job.

The diner looked great fun but we could not stop for breakfast as they did not open early enough as we had to leave quite early.

Overall, I would rather stay here than in a chain hotel as long as they keep pricing competitive.

My husband myself and our 5 year old son stayed here in October to visit family after spending 3 hectic days in Lego land. We were totally shattered when we arrived, the staff were extremely helpful we turned up very early! as expected our room wasn't ready but they showed us up there so we could drop off our belongings. WOW!! what a beautiful room, it wasn't even cleaned at this point but we could tell it was going to be a very happy stay. Once we returned to our room it had been cleaned and was immaculate the beds smelt of comfort, the room fresh, the huge bathroom with a huge bath was gleaming, we had a nice cup of coffee with the facilities in our room. Me and my husband enjoyed a lovely hot powerful shower and our son a fantastic luxury bath. We then ventured down in to the restaurant were we ate chicken breast burger and chips with salad, a half steak burger, chips, salad and garlic bread and a Child's burger and chips followed by ice cream. No complaints the food wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for and in our opinion it was worth the money. The staff were very friendly, there is a Child's soft play area next to the seating area if you wish to sit in that particular part of the restaurant there is ample other seats if you wish to sit some were more quiet. Our little boy was in bed by 8 pm and we never heard a noise all night long. The room had great heating and a television which we could watch in peace once he was asleep. Would not hesitate to stay here again totally LOVELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: The family suite on the very top floor it's the only room on that floor.
