We stayed in this charming hotel for 6 nights. It seemed good for a 3 star hotel - comfortable, clean and the staff try to please. It is centrally positioned in this lovely village, with spectacular views of the mountains. This is a very good base for a walking holiday. There are many good walks from here into the surrounding mountains. Also, within a few hours you can walk to mountain huts where you can stay overnight of you want to go further (book them in advance). There is a busy little church immediately opposite the hotel. The church bells ring at 7 am and every quarter hour after that, so if this bothers you, bring ear plugs! We got used to it and didnt notice it after a couple of days. There are also two shops right next door, where you can buy almost anything you are likely to need. We were half-board. Breakfast was quite basic, buffet style: muesli, cornflakes or coco pops, cold boiled eggs, yogurt, bread and rolls, a variety of jams, fresh oranges, slices of ham and cheese, various coffees, tea, or fruit squashes to drink. Four course dinner: excellent buffet salad to start, then a choice (made at breakfast time) of 3 dishes for each of the next 3 courses. This included pastas and local dishes and was mostly very good, although the desserts were sometimes disappointing. There is a good selection of Italian wines available. The 3 girls serving in the dining room were efficient, helpful and very pleasant. We had some difficulty with the menus as they were only available in Italian or German, but one of the waitresses made a point of coming to describe the dishes to us every morning. There is also a restaurant for non hotel guests. The hotel decor is typically Tyrolean, with lots of pine furniture. We had a large, comfortable bed, a sofa, TV, desk and plenty of storage space. I think we had what they call a "comfort" room, with a balcony in the roof and a view of the mountains. The shower room was quite big and functional. Only soap and little sachets of shampoo and a hair drier are provided. I had two minor issues: the towels were quite rough as they are dried outside in the garden, not tumble dried, and the shower room smelled very damp every morning until the fan was switched on. We are used to staying in slightly more expensive hotels but this one was good value and we liked it. If you do not speak good Italian or German, bring a dictionary, as few people here seem to speak English.
