We read that this restaurant has an excellent reputation with great dishes, but nothing prepared us for just how good and creative the food is! Whether you dine inside or on the terrace, the ambiance is enjoyable and the service outstanding. What a joy to get vegetables with colour and crunch that have been thought through to accompany each dish, rather than those that are overcooked. The seasonal specialities are a signature of this restaurant, and we thoroughly enjoyed the choices we made - venison with 'spätzle' and pork knuckle with divine mini rösti potatoes. The wine list is also a treat both from the price and the variety, with many open wines to choose from. We don't normally leave room for desert, but on this occasion, we decided to try the crème brûlée with mirabelle sorbet. Another great choice!
Oberried doesn't immediately come to mind when thinking of towns and villages in the Black Forest, but it is definitely worth making the trip there to visit this restaurant and enjoy a delightful culinary experience!
