“Nice day out for the family”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2013

A nice 'adventure' park to go to, especially if you have the Hochschwarzwald Card, otherwise it will cost 20 euros entry for everything. You could get a different ticket to just visit the wildlife park, but there’s not that much to see. The reindeers are gorgeous, you can feed them corn. The hogs are smelly but cute. And there are fish. There were goats and a few birds.
But its the toboggan that is the main attraction! The ski lift takes you high up, there are two parallel toboggan circuits so you could ride side by side with friends and family. The ticket is a wristband that lets you enter each attraction unlimited times, so you get to do it all over again, There is an indoor toboggan ride, queues tend to be the longest for this. A runaway train, a water donut thingy, and a slide / play area for children. There are a few more other attractions, but not enough to last a whole day. I would say 3-4 hours is plenty of time, if the queues are reasonable. Food prices aren't too bad in comparison.

“Great fun”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

We enjoyed a visit on the very last day before the Park closes for the Winter. It was quiet, which was great for us as all the amusement rides were quickly accessible. We were impressed with all the animals on view and the layout of the park. We will visit again.

“Few but good rides”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2012

Visited with kids aged 6 and 8 august 2012. You can choose to just visit the park and skip the rides, but I wouldn't recommend this. The park is very scenic and beautifully placed in the mountains. There is basically only four rides - River rafting, indoor rollercoaster, indoor 'rodelbahn' and an outdoor 'rodelbahn' which is basically just a very long slide you ride on a small sled. All the rides were quite fun and the lines weren't too long. The animal part of the park was just about ok, but you only get to see local animals. All in all a fine park for half a days visit - although a bit pricy.

“Amusement park and game park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2012

The setting of this park along, nestling in the deeply wooded hills of the Black Forest makes it attractive. It's definitely on a small scale, but makes a great outing for families with kids of all ages. There are some rides indoor, nothing too exciting, but great for younger kids; IMO, the main attraction is the summer bobsled run, which is long and really very exciting. You ride a chair lift up to the start, and traveling up you get a nice view of the large corrals with the local wild animals.
