Staying just 4 nights really was just like a teaser for me. I loved every second of our holiday. Me and my boyfriend stayed in the Song Bird Cottage whilst my boyfriends mother and brother stayed in the Love Bird Cottage (it has two beds). We had the Turtle beach practically to ourselves and the best thing about our beach, no sand flies and lot's of baby turtles! My favourite experiences which will remain with me forever were; 3 day old baby turtles, over protected monkeys, big turtle saying goodbye and glowing plankton sparkling around my feet at night. All of that in just 4 nights made my stay truly magical which i will never be able to forget. A big thanks to Mark and Yhum for making our stay smooth and problem-free! Good luck to you in the future, I will be recommending your resort to anyone that comes to Philippines to visit

Room Tip: We stayed in the cottages on Turtle Beach - maximum privacy

We began our trip to Palawan at the Secret Paradise Resort and it could not have been a better start! Beautiful and comfortable cabins right at the beach, great food with daily fresh fish and very friendly and helpful staff! We would definitely come back again next time we are in the Philippines!

Mark & crew: keep up the great work and we hope to be back soon!

Wonderful higher-end place to stay in Port Barton, with a great ethos behind it. Set up to preserve the marine wildlife around the island, I am proud to stay there and support such an initiative - it helps that the huts are beautiful, the snorkelling is clear (we saw turtles most days) and stunning and the surrounding scenery is amazing. Recommended!

We spent ages scouring the internet trying to find the perfect resort for our honeymoon. We were looking for a beautiful beach setting with comfortable accommodation and enough activities to keep us entertained for seven days but wouldn’t break the bank. Secret Paradise Resort exceeded expectations.
The location is absolutely stunning. The cove is picture perfect and the swimming and snorkeling was great. Mark’s(the owners) efforts to create a marine sanctuary have paid off, the place is teeming with all kinds of brightly coloured fish and nearly every time we went snorkeling we saw a turtle, truly amazing!
We stayed in the “Love Birds” cottage which is located on a separate beach with only one other cottage ensuring maximum privacy but just a short stroll from the restaurant area. There are only 6 cottages (plus one suite above the restaurant) at the resort so even when it's fully booked it is still peaceful. The cottage itself is lovely, made from beautiful polished wood, with a comfortable four poster bed and nice ensuite bathroom.
The food at the resort was simple but tasty and pretty cheap. All the staff were lovely and helpful.
We spent hours in the sun loungers down at the beach as well as sitting out on our balcony for most of the evening and Sand flies are NOT a problem! I was vigilant about putting on insect repellent and hardly got any bites in the week that we spent there.
A couple of tips; take ear plugs, nature can be loud at night if you’re not used to it. Have a native sauna, it was excellent.
We will definitely be recommending Secret Paradise Resort to all our family and friends.

Room Tip: Love Bird Cottage and Song Bird Cottage are the only two located on beach 2 making them even more se...

We were not sure what to expect as there had been some not so positive reviews recently about the resort…luckily we decided to rely on the many positive reviews and got rewarded with an unforgettable stay at this magical place!
The resort, the accommodation, the food but most of all the surrounding nature – which Mark the owner works/fights so hard to protect – is just incredible. We have been living in and travelling Asia for over 15years but this place is definitely in our TOP 3 list of most beautiful places. The reefs start right off the beach in front of the cottages and we have not seen a reef habitat that is still that intact in many years…everything from seahorses, lion fish, rays to barracudas can be observed. And then there are of course the turtles which we saw every day. Marc is also doing a great job of protecting the turtle population and we saw pictures of turtles that hatched just the week before our arrival.
We had read reviews about aggressive sandflies and mosquitos which was a concern to us especially travelling with small children (5 & 9)…but after 5 days at the resort with ZERO sand-fly bites I am very happy that we did not let those few reports scare us away because we would have missed PARADISE.
Mark the owner puts his heart and soul into protecting the bay and reefs and invests a lot of resources to do so….so knowing that we helped a tiny, little bit with his efforts by purely staying and spending at the resort to keep him going was an additional feel good benefit.
We truly hope Mark will be able to continue his fabulous work to give many more families like ours the opportunity to experience nature at its best.

Big thanks to Mark (owner) and Hazel (manager) for allowing us be the first wedding @ Secret Paradise making my dreams come true!!!

Also thank you to all the staff that worked so hard to make a gorgeous wedding arch and aisle as well as all the other little details... It really was amazing!!!

On arriving at the resort we were greeted with welcome drinks, friendly staff, as well as 30 baby turtles (4 days old) so cute!!!

The natural beauty of the resort was well beyond expectations.
Excellent for snorkling, kayaking, relaxing, sunsets etc.
Rooms were beautiful.

Food was good, cocktails - Awesome (could actually feel the alcohol- rearity in the Philippines)

Free pool table for guests was much appriciated.

We all wished we could have stayed longer!!!

Don't change!!! Really a Sectet Paradise!!!!

My daughter chose secret paradise as her wedding venue. Mark and his staff did us proud. Nothing was too much trouble. They worked so hard to make the day special, and it was. The rooms were lovely. The peaceful setting truely beautiful. The simple food was well presented. Tea and coffee all day. Good pool table. 10 out of 10. Yes there was there was sand flies but free coconut oil foiled the little blighters.
All over philippines there are insects but Mark and his team do more than most to keep them controlled. Beach and snorkling brilliant. Would go again without a doubt.
