Spent a week finding a good place for me and my guy to have a vacation. I wanted to go to the beach but somewhere private but with Boracay-like sand and water. Found Secret Paradise and instantly I knew I wanted to go there. So even with the transfers, travel time with 30 mins dirt road, in the end me and my guy thought we made the right decision to go to Secret Paradise.
The whole place is like a boutique resort - small community, a whole cove for the guests, the staff is just eager to please the guests with a smile on their face even after any request. There are not many cottages yet so you won't find the place crowded or even noisy.
When Mark, the owner, found out that i was spending my birthday in the resort, he instantly created an event for it - bonfire and cake for everyone. He's so pleasant and would go the extra mile to make sure his guests have a great and comfortable time.
Another thing I loved about the place is the view you get every morning. All cottages come with a balcony, and big windows. So right when you open your eyes, you'll see the water and the mountain backdrop of the cove, It's so beautiful, pictures don't do justice to place.
Food is no problem, I actually love their barbecues and calamares. The restaurant is open the whole day so you can eat whenever you feel like it. Local fishermen take a trip to the bay in the morning so you can be sure that their seafood is fresh.
The travel time is not the best part the of the trip, but I GUARANTEE you, once you're there, you'll forget about the land and boat transfers. I only came back to Manila yesterday and already, I'm wishing to be back there. The whole place is a dream.
So yes, next time I get to go on holiday, I will go back to Secret Paradise.
