We had a great extended weekend. The weather was amazing. The water was still warm and we were even able to swim in the lake. We used the pedal boat and there were also canoes for the guests. Our cottage was really nice and very clean. It had a fireplace, the wood was provided. We enjoyed the jacuzzi. The beds were very comfortable.
A BBQ on the front porch enabled us to prepare a nice steak dinner. The kitchen was well equipped. We were able to enjoy movies which were provided, free of charge. There is a nice selection of DVD's available.
Thank you Karen, John and Gary for your hospitality.

We really had an awesome time! The lake is amazing, plenty of Kayaks, canoes and pedal boats to go around. The management are very nice. The cabin is well accessorized and clean. Some downside are that the cabin is pretty small and that the beds were really uncomfortable (and I'm in no way spoiled) and the walls are thin... I would go there again though if the price is right, the lake was amazing!

Room Tip: all cooking accessories are present, complementary coffee, uncomfortable beds and thin walls

We rented an adjoining suite and regular room (B5 and B6) and were very pleased with them. The kitchen facilities were pretty basic - hot plate, microwave, small sink and half-fridge in the suite and a half fridge and microwave in the regular room - but it was easy to put together simple meals by also using the grill outside. I would recommend that if you are planning to cook any meals, bring some supplies with you such as a sharp knife, salad bowl, pasta pot. The suite and the regular room both had a little covered patio which was nice for morning coffee or reading outside during a rain shower. The only complaints we had were: the refrigerator made a lot of noise in the regular room so you need ear plugs to sleep; and the light bulbs are not bright enough for reading in any of the rooms.

The beach had plenty of chairs, tables, etc and was kept clean and tidy. There were canoes and kayaks to use free of charge. The lake is beautiful and the water is very warm in August. The lodge is close to Algonquin Park and would be good to use as a base. You can get almost any food you will need at the Dwight general store, so you don't need to go to Huntsville. Plus, check out Henrietta's bakery on Hwy 60 going toward Algonguin Park (long lines on the weekend). There is also a liquor store near the bakery.

The lodge is planning to tear down the building we stayed in and build time share/fractional ownership log cabin type homes. They were not sure when this would happen, but it looks like in the next year or two. So enjoy this reasonably priced vacation spot while you can!

The cottage where we stayed has the perfect view of the lake, it was stunning! Night or day, the view was just breathtaking. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, it was a perfect place to unwind. The place was clean and comfortable. The television wasn't good but it suits us because we were either out walking or sleeping. The service was good, they were friendly and accommodating. Thanks Norloch family for having us.

I stayed at Norloch Lodge this January and it was beautiful. Amazing scenery, weather and lots of outdoor activities close by.
And most importantly the resort was so nice, great service at the desk, peaceful atmosphere, beautiful rooms. I stayed in a suite and it was fully equipped with a jet tub (so nice after a long walk), gas fireplace, private deck, comfy beds, TV, mini fridge(very helpful when packing your own lunches for outings), coffee maker, kettle, and even dinnerware (plates, glasses, cutlery, mugs.
We had breakfasts each morning that were a great start to the day. Full hot breakfast AND continental buffet table with cereal, juice, pastries... Oh and GOOD coffee!

I was very happy during my stay, it was a nice getaway from the city. Full of busy days and peaceful nights at the resort.

We had a wonderful stay at Norloch Lodge over New Years. Our suite had everything we wanted, jet tub, fireplace, extremly comfortable bed and the view over the snow covered lake was incredible. Breakfast in the Lodge overlooking the lake was excellent and we did'nt need to eat again until after our ski in Algonquin Park. Dinner was romantic beside a crackling fire and all three courses were delicious. We are grateful to the owners of this Resort for making a romatic getaway a time to remember.
