Rather futuristic in its concept and design. A good breakfast is provided whist the rest of your meals are next door in the Mall. By far its best attraction is its proximity to the Flying Dodo brewery/bar. Everything else about the hotel - comfort, wifi, etc etc has all been said before in previous reviews. As others have said a pleasant modern hotel in the centre if the island attached to the new shopping Mall and eatery centre
The bed was very comfortable and the workspace etc fine. I liked the shower but its true there is no privacy..not an issue really
Breakfast cold. Just OK but the shopping centre food court has a variety of outlets. No other food available but not an issue as a huge choice next door
My gripe is no hairdryers. It may seem a small point but for us women who travel for work drying our hair is important. When I asked I was told they had two for general use but they were not available the whole time I was there so I had to buy one from the budget outlet shop nearby
Internet was patchy on occasions but generally OK the shopping centre wifi is free and fast too
It would have been four star except for my wet hair

Albeit a budget hotel, nice service and decent room, I remember this as an interesting experience because I made th emits take of inviting a friend over and things got pretty tricky because the toilet and bathroom is separated from the bedroom area by a completely see-through glass partition. It's great for a solo traveller, great for couples who do everything together but definitely not for couples looking for a little break from each other once in a while!
Good value for money, the rooms were clean & modern and has free wifi limited to 100 mb per day, they then charge reasonable rates for more Internet usage however if you go to the modern shopping mall Bagatelle connected to the hotel wifi in the food courts is free and very fast ! It is not a holiday hotel but more a business hotel or somewhere to stay if you are from overseas and have family undergoing medical treatment at the first class Apollo Hospital which is 5 mins by car from Voila Hotel ! Staff are courteous friendly and efficient. My only problem was getting used to the many TV channels available and I think the remote was not working properly but hey I did not come to Mauritius to watch TV all day long ! I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to potential guests who are looking for somewhere affordable clean and modern otherwise you going to pay rip off prices in the 5 star resorts ! Nice business hotel which is centrally located,ideal place for businessmen to stay.Beautiful & comforatble rooms,large bathrooms and well designed lobby area,rapid check-in.
However things to improve are:
1.More variety needed at breakafst.
2.Staff at brekafast are helpful but they need to be more attentive and pay attention to details
3.Only 50MB internet offer per day,please give your clients a much improved package.
Overall nice hotel which i will personally recommend based on my stay and will stay again.
I stayed in Voila for four nights during a business trip. The hotel is right next to the motorway and also close to the "east-west" link roads, so you get around quickly. Rooms are pretty standard, clean and comfortable. Being next to a shopping centre is very nice. I popped into shops and restaurants in the mall when I needed something and this was very practical, including buying presents for the family back at home.
Breakfast is pretty simple - No warm foods, just muffins, cold meats, cheese, yogurt, etc...
I was in a room that faced away from the mall. There is a large pub right next to the hotel and it can be noisy on the side of the mall - so make sure you ask for a room that faces north or west.... not south.
There is no pool and don't come here if you want to spend time on the beach - that's pretty far. Albion is the closest.
