Beautiful setting with beautiful views. The only distractions are watching the boats and skiers travelling along the lake and watching the horses grazing near the room.
The view from the spa (For 2) was enough to bring anyone back to earth.
We were planning to buy our own food and cook it in the suite,But phoned ahead and had dinner ready for us upon arrival. Awesome food at a good price.
A nice walk down to the lake saying Hi to the Kangaroos and Alpacas after dinner is a nice change. Bring some sneakers.
The included DVD's were a very nice and unexpected touch.
We don't get to spend time alone without the kids much,But now we have found the perfect place to escape.
We will be back there the next chance we get and just hoping everything remains exactly the same.

What a beautiful place! We stayed in Rendezvous and had a fantastic week. Little details are attended to such as shampoo etc on a tray not just on the shelf, pump soap included, floor lamps rug on sofa, rose petals on bed,tea lights, tea coffee in canisters on shelf robe and slippers, mozzie coils in cupboard (didn't need them) and even cling wrap! BBQ and 2 tables and chairs on verandah, board games (if you want them - we didn't) but even these were in a nice basket! Details, details attended to. Staff could not have been more helpful. Beautiful - would go back. Only thing we would have liked in the area was a baked dinner on Christmas day - nothing was opened in the town (Lithgow) that did a baked dinner except Red Rooster and the veges were hard.

great view, but closest town is about 30 minutes on pretty shoddy roads, so just keep that in mind. but just about everything else was great. We bought food which was a little bit out of our budget, but delicious. However, the rooms are self contained so you can bring your own food. the outdoor pool and bbq area was looking a bit weathered and unkept when we were there.

Room Tip: The cheaper executive spa suites are sufficient.

We found a last minute late 'honeymoon' - we wanted privacy away from the summer crowds, and this delivered with luxury accommodation in a country setting. The double spa in the floor of our room, a big shower, a private deck with bush views down to the lake, and an air conditioner, all made for a wonderful weekend away. The kangaroos, alpacas and horses only reinforced the rural aspect of our trip. The service from the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely consider returning for another holiday. I would love the see what one of the 'best' cabins are like - I thought our "Wilderness" Cabin was beautiful. A pool would have been a nice addition in the heat - but we just relaxed in the spa instead.

Room Tip: We were in a "Wilderness" Cabin, I think they may be a little older than some of the other...

Eagle View is very private location on the hill overlooking a large lake near Lithgow. We stayed in a Private Cabin on the second hottest day of the year. We had to spend most of the time relaxing in air conditioned comfort and large two person spa in the cabin as it was very hot outside. Balconies give you a lovely view over the lake but make sure you take some mosquito / fly repellant. If you are looking for a romantic getaway where you just focus on one another, this place is ideal. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times.

Room Tip: Great place for a romantic getaway.

This place is so peaceful and really makes you stop and appreciate Australia and also the person next to you.
We stayed in an executive spa suite which has a spa in the floor and and amazing views of lake Lyell in the valley below.
The room was clean and filled with things to make our stay comfortable and at home.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
There is a great room up near reception which is open 24hrs to play pool, board games, read, watch tv or just hang by the fire if your there in winter.
Would recommend for a couple wanting to escape and purely just enjoy one another.

Eagle View Escape offers stunning views over Lake Lyell and its remoteness coupled with the large amount of wildlife allows for a relaxed, highly-enjoyable getaway. I stayed here with my partner to ring in the New Year and found the staff to be extremely friendly and accommodating, with good knowledge of the local area and its surrounds. Our room, an Executive Suite, was large with a kitchenette (including fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, Nespresso machine, etc), a good sized bathroom/shower, a queen bed and a stunning spa and balcony overlooking the lake. The property is large and you have the opportunity to walk around and find a secluded spot by the lake to enjoy the view with the kangaroos and llamas. The dinner menu was diverse and the food was excellent. The hotel is a 45 minute drive from Katoomba and a 20 minute drive from Lithgow.

You will struggle to find a more desirable accommodation in the Blue Mountains.
