Boat needs to be bigger to fit more vehicles or go more often. Waited over an hour 4 out of 6 times we used it. Nice that it is free and it runs early morning and late night.

Fuel is expensive(cost) very beautiful views, comes every hr. so timing is everything.

The operator does not stick to schedule and is super grumpy. Jam packs cars onto the ferry in a moderately concerning way however the history of the ferry is long so he seems to know what he's doing, regardless of a simple chain keeping the vehicles on. Decent price, but really the only option to cross the river.

Great local attraction - everybody should try it. the owners will juggle the parking arrangements to get the maximum people on, and it's really fun to watch the expressions on the first time passengers' faces as the cars get sandwiched in!

Not a large vessel, but we were able to squeeze 3 large SUV's, 6 cars and 9 full dress motorcycles aboard for the 10 minute trip from Wolfe Island to Cape Vincent, NY. It was a unique experience, calm waters and a beautiful sunny day which helped tremendously. Once aboard, if the craft is fully loaded, you may just want to stay aboard your vehicle for the ride. Getting out of or off your vehicle might be a challenge due to space restrictions, but this was certainly a neat adventure! Great way to travel with a motorcycle and avoid having to be on the clutch waiting in a border crossing line! $15 for car and passenger, $7 for a motorcycle and $8 for a motorcycle with a sidecar.
