This was our main stop on our honeymoon and it was a real treat. The food was amazing and the service excellent. The staff was friendly and they did everything to make us feel comfortable. On the second day we had a picnic lunch that they arranged for us and this was truly something to experience. When we arrived in our room after dinner, there was a cozy fire waiting for us. The views all around the lodge is really beautiful and we enjoyed every moment of our stay!

My husband and our two boys spent 3 nights at Maliba Lodge and we were spoiled rotten. The beautiful vistas from every angle engulfed us as we enjoyed an excellent cuisine. The setting is stunning, the rooms spacious, comfortable and luxurious. The staff made us feel like we were VIP's - the treatment we got was highly attentive. We had little surprises like a chocolate fondue brought to us in the afternoon or upon entering our chalet after supper, a trail of candles, leading us to a bubble bath - wow - the spoiling never ended. We enjoyed beautiful walks, a stunning ride on the horses, a relaxing massage, the down to earth and very friendly Basotho people but most enjoyable was the absolute silence and peace. We will definitely return to this piece of heaven on earth.

My family and I stayed at the Maliba Mountain Lodge over the long weekend of June 16th. Upon arrival and throughout our stay, we were made to feel like we were the only guests at the lodge. Outstanding service and very warm hospitality were standard. The facilities were excellent including the food. Will definitely recommend it. Can't wait for next winter!

We stayed there for one night (but wouldnt have minded to stay longer!)

we decided to book a hut near the river - I think its the most basic accomodation Maliba has to offer - but we were really surprised - the huts are bigger than you would think (and have a shower and toilet and eleictricity) and much more comfortable !

there are just a handful of huts and we were the only couple in that area - so sitting at the river at night was really a great experioence!

you have to drive about 5-10 minutes from there to the main lodge - which is very luxury and the people are trying to fulfill every wish!
...just not forget ...the views from the lodge - breathtaking....

Room Tip: The budget accomodation "huts on the river" - better than you may think!

What a fantastic start to our honeymoon! The food is fantastic, the service great and there was lots to do. It was snowing a few days prior to our arrival and they kept my husband-to-be up to date on whether we would be able to get to the lodge or not. On arrival they met us outside with refreshment towels and took us to the honeymoon cottage (very secluded and private) and handed us the menu for the night and got the fire in the fireplace going.

They really went out of their way to make it a wonderful experience. We went for a hike in the snow, and when we came back, they made sure the fire was on, they put candles everywhere, and set up a picnic lunch in front of the fireplace.
It was an amazing experience! horse-riding, masages...you name it!

Thank you for making it such a memorable few days!

We were so looking for a good rest when we were given a gift of two nights at Maliba Mountain Lodge. Well nothing could have been better. We were looked after like Kings. Everyone of the staff that we dealt with were exceptionally friendly and keen to make us a comfortable as possible. Our chalet was luxurious and warmly heated with a lovely log fire to add to the ambiance. Then to crown everything, the food was above and beyond excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and look forward to returning one day. Many thanks!

We had a marvelous stay at the lodge and a fantastic horse ride on the sunday. The ladies had a very nice massage. The food is excellent as is the service.
We were however not aware that the river lodges sleep 8 people and we therfore booked too many. The staff is very very friendly and helpful.
The location with the view especially fromthe deck is absolutely amazing
This lodge is a must go
