Wow....

What a beautiful place. I honestly was refreshed by everything. Seeing water coming from the mountain tops was priceless for me. I actually thought it was a thing of ancient times...

The hospitality team, such humble people. They make you realise that after all its all about life and nothing more. Your sense of humility really touched me.

See you June 2012.

Blessings

Maliba Lodge (pronounced Ma"DI"ba, in Sotho) is a truly amazing place. The beauty is incredible in the close vicinity and throughout Lesotho.
Service from the time we were greeted by Rose, was incredible. Nothing is a problem and you are really made to feel special by all the staff and management.
I celebrated my 50th birthday at Maliba, had a beautiful chocolate cake baked for me by Chef Dwayne and was surprised by a most beautiful candle-lit suite when my husband and I arrived back at our room after having a wonderful birthday meal and being sung happy birthday to!
There are some amazing walks around the lodge, some quite far and physical. Truly beautiful though and worth the effort.
I cannot say what I liked least as there really was nothing not to like! An overall wonderful warm experience.

The mountains were as beautiful as I remembered but it was the lodge that exceeded all expectations. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and there were lovely touches, such as setting an open fire in your room whilst you were at dinner. The food was very good and certainly needed after a hard days hiking. I really hope that people take the time to visit Lesotho because it is a magical place.

My boyfriend & I had a wonderful time at Maliba. Everything was terrific. The staff are very helpful and are extremely friendly, they were knowledgeable with excellent command of the English language. The rooms are very large and are 'five star' with all ammenities. Great personalised touches with the welcome note, candles in the bathroom, bath salts etc.
The food in the restaurant was delicious.
Real top class service. The house keeping is very discreet, we weren't aware of them tidying our room at all.
The trails and activities to do were varied, I still have quite a few to do on my next visit.
Overall it was a very memorable holiday, we appreciated each moment.
We will return!
We walked down to take a look at the River Lodge, from what we could see they are very well equipped.

Room Tip: Chalet 6 is the honeymoon suite. Chalet 1 is furtherest away from main lodge. Chalet 3 is a great lo...

Everything was perfect, right from the booking stage. We booked 2 rooms as our 15 year old was with us. My husband and I were given the honeymoon suite which was perched up on the hill away from the main lodge. Our son's room was the room closest to the main lodge. We did not specifically ask for this and were very pleased with the thought and consideration that went into this detail . What an awesome place. The scenery, the rooms, the food and the friendly staff make your stay at Maliba most enjoyable. The rooms are large and very comfortable with a veranda and an extention to the deck so that you can sit among the trees. There are heaters and a fireplace in each room. There was enough wood at all times. The staff go out of their way to please you. They have a "Can Do" attitude. We had breakfast on our deck on both the mornings and everthing was perfectly served and laid out for us. They ceratinly give you variety everyday. The chef ensured that the most mouth watering meals were prepared for breakfast and dinner. The complimentary fresh mountain water available in your room was also a treat. My son tremendously enjoyed the cookies that were placed at the tea and coffee station. We walked the upper and lower trails in one trip. It took about 3 hours. We spent some time a the black lake and just enjoyed the sound of the running water. It was wonderful being so close to nature. Superb setting, delicious food and warm, friendly people will certainly be the reasons for our return to Maliba Mountain Lodge. Vis, Mona & Thio Naidoo, Johannesburg
