The rooms here are safari lodge style - some single storey, other double (from which there are good views of the elephants). All rooms are en-suite, but with the usual shower-goes-everywhere arrangement (lift the loo seat first!). No safes, but a big chunky padlock on the door (although these are then left in a not terribly secure/manned reception area). The hotel is at the end of the main street and two minutes walk from the river, where the national park really gets going. Good sunsets and elephant bathing can be seen from here.
The hotel has possibly the smallest swimming pool ever seen (more of a plunge pool) but extensive gardens with various tropical fruit trees and some good birdwatching for the keen eyed. There is a large restaurant, but the food is a bit bland and Westernised, no doubt because a fair few tour groups use the place. Free wifi is available at the outside bar.
