“Total Value for money”

I happened to stay at Travellers Jungle Camp in october 2010 while i was in chitwan. I must say that it was one of the best places we stayed at during our stay in Nepal. It is a family run business owned by Mr Ram who personally along with his family took care of our needs. They made sure that we were very comfortable and were very kind and courteous towards us. The place itself is very charming with a very farm house kind of feel with spacious cottages spread out across a large area.
Rooms:
The rooms were very spacious and clean with 24/7 water and electricity and other amenities such as cable TV and multiple electrical points for charging your cameras/camcorders. There was also a foyer/veranda outside each room where one can bask in the morning sun.
Camp Area:
The entire camp area is very clean and maintained very beautifully with amazing flowers and plants everywhere giving u a feel as if you are staying in Eden! They have provided shacks all over the place in the gardens where you can relax and have food/drinks as well.
Food:
The restaurant is clean as well and the food was the best we had in Nepal. We were served very tasty nice warm food which was as good as our home cooked food. Needless to say the quantity was unlimited so we used to have a very filling lunch and dinner. The staff was very nice and friendly as well and catered to our needs.
Other activities:
Besides accommodation, Travellers Jungle Camp also conducts activities for guests staying at their premises. Their location is just a 5 min. walk away from the market and also the riverside making it very convenient place for going to shopping and activities . We were accompanied by the multi-talented guide Som who took us around all the activities. He was one of the friendliest, knowledgeable, humorous and caring person around. Having him around, we came to know very interesting things about the place and the animal life.
He took us around the river side for walk and canoeing, birdwatching and elephant ride. He also ensured that we are out of harms way while all the activities and ensured we had a very safe and amazing time and ensuring we got priority in all activities.
Verdict:
I would strongly recommend Travellers Jungle Camp for all types of visitors. As it is not just the run of the mill place to stay in. A place carefully crafted taking into account all the needs of the visitors and the immaculate personal touch. Mr Ram and his family ensure that you are treated not like guests but like family making the place your home away from home.

Amazing location, it is in the street where most hotels are located and 4-5 mins away from the riverfront, which is an excellent place to watch the sunset. Like most hotels in chitwan, Travelers camp is very green with plenty of trees and gardens; with shaded places to relax. As for the rooms, we found them quite comfortable for budget hotels, with hot running water available. The food is fresh from the farm and delicious, especially nepali thali. The staff are quick to respond and very hospitable, the owner of the place made it seem like we are a part of the family. Chitwan was my favorite place in all of nepal and it has a lot to do because of the amazing place we stayed at and the people we came to know.

Travellers Jungle Camp is for tourist a nice and relax accommodation. Nothing must be done and guests are free to go and book in other place. The family who run this hotel is nice and helpfull and always friendly. Not the type woth sogns of dollars in the eyes. They do the best for you. The kitching is famous and the staff nice, so next time I visit this hotel again. I hope to go in March again to Nepal and specially to Chitwan (Sauraha).

My husband and I stayed at this jungle lodge during our 3 day visit to Chitwan National Park.

We originally wanted to stay somewhere else but there was no availability so we ended up here. We had every intention of leaving to go to our first preference, but the lodge was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly so we decided to stay at the jungle camp.

it is located on the main street in Sauraha, close to the souvenir shops and restaurants. The town is very small, so all hotels have this advantage

The staff speak excellent English and offer good deals on elephant safaris, jungle treks and boat rides. They are very helpful in helping you plan your trip to Chitwan.

The place is quiet, tranquil and set around a lovely, colourful garden. The place is quite family orientated too, with many families staying here.

The rooms are large and spacious and each bed has a mosquito net. The windows have good durable flyscreens so bugs/mosquitoes cant get in. There is a western toilet and the shower has good heat and water pressure.

Overall a relaxed and chilled place to stay for your visit to Chitwan National Park.
