If you like oysters (or even if you don’t) you should visit this special oyster shack by the river. Fresh oysters that taste amazing ... and I reckon if you had a cold bottle of white wine from a local vineyard, they wouldn’t mind you having a glass. Worth the 10 min drive off the highway. Staff were friendly and bubbly.

You’ll never want to eat another oyster anywhere else after coming here! It was a bit of a lengthy drive, about 2 hours but definitely well worth it! The oysters were so fresh you could taste the seawater. Also really nice how they had sauces for you to use! Would rate 6/5 if I could. One of my favourite experiences in Tasmania!

En route from down south, decided to stop off at two places for oysters. This was the second stop off.

We had 2 dozen to share, the first dozen were the last of one batch, the other a new batch.

We thought the second batch were the best and although these oysters were great, the after taste was not quite as good as the ones at Triabunna, but that is just a personal thing.

Would certainly recommend and would go back.

What a find!! Oysters being sold from fishermen/harvesters, out of service hatch from shack. Can bring own wine( glasses provided if needed) and with soft drinks on sale. Seating looking over the sea where new oysters growing just added to the deliciousness in taste. 12 oysters for 20 dollars- brilliant!!

Best tasting oysters ever! Quirky little out of the way outlet that is worth the drive, water view tables to eat your oysters or takeaway just as good.
