I really needed this vacation for relaxation and Maca Villas did just that. Amazing and peaceful villas and I took full advantage of the spa which was surprisingly inexpensive. I did this as a solo vacation and I think I may just become a regular. Food was overall good...better to go for breakfast in the restaurant as food is a little cold when delivered in the room. An amazing 4-day stay, almost perfect. Maca has 25 villas, we had one near the far end of the resort so it was very quiet. Check-in was quick and painless. We were shown to our villa, the features explained, and we were left to relax by the private pool. Decor was contemporary, clean. Bed was very comfy, aircon cold, baths large and shower adequately strong and hot. I didnt use the tub, but it was enormous. The included bfast (a la carte) was huge and offered a wide range. You can choose to have it at the cafe or in your villa. Complimentary snacks and beverages everyday from 3pm to 5pm. My wife n I loved the place and experience. A very minor gripe is that the seating area should be brighter at night to allow reading there. There was the occasional mosquito, but that's probably common in much of Bali. There are several restaurants in the vicinity. Walking about 10 minutes will get you right in the middle of numerous popular and quite upmarket restaurants. The road immediately outside the resort is narrow and noisy, and so the hotel lobby isnt a particularly place to hang out. The pool is located not too far away, and the pool area gets traffic noise as well, so we only used the pool in our villa.

Had a lovely five days at Maca Villas and Spa - the villa and private pool were a peaceful, quiet and private retreat away from the busy Seminyak streets. The villa and pool were very clean. All the staff were very friendly and made sure we had a great time - we had breakfast in the villa one morning but mostly ate next to the main pool. The staff made sure I had some vegan options and kept offering us food.
It was my partner's birthday while we were there and even though we had not mentioned it - a bunch of the staff turned up on the night with a cake and candle and sang her happy birthday. It was delicious cake and such a nice surprise - we were really impressed.
The gym and spa across the road had great facilities - used the gym a couple of times and went to a great yoga class. We walked everywhere from the villas - some great restaurants nearby; beach clubs and good spas, only a short walk away.
Only issue we had was the ceiling fan in the bedroom was really really loud so we had to use the aircon at night to stay cool. The doors/windows don't seal completely so some mosquitoes can get in if that is a concern.

This place has probably the best service / nicest staff that always go the extra mile and say hi. The villas are very clean and quite and in a super convenient location to the local area. Shuttle makes everything a lot easier (more like a private drop off car). I highly recommend this place!

The most incredible experience with Maca Villas. Every aspect of the hotel is truly 5*, from the excellent location in the centre of Seminyak to the quality breakfasts and spacious room with pool. One aspect that really stands out from the stay is the quality of service constantly provided, the staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. 5* doesn’t seem enough. Thank you to everyone there that made our stay so special, well worth the flight to come back and do it all over again!!
