We stayed 3 nights at Mui Ne Hills and really enjoyed our time there.
Not only was it an extremely relaxing, laid back atmosphere with very helpful and friendly staff, but as it's located on a hill you have wonderful elevation and views across the coconut palms to the sea. This made for very pleasant lounging by the pool while Greg whipped us up a delicious fruit smoothie. Also because of it's elevated aspect, you get a great sea breeze at Mui Ne that keeps you nice and cool. The staff are all great - Erik the owner is very friendly and helpful, as were Greg (barman) and Fung (hotel staff)... they really make you feel like your part of a little extended family. We had a fun night out with them on Friday night at the local bar DJ Station which was hilarious and a lot of fun.
If you want somewhere quiet, boutique & small-ish (no huge sterile resort here), with a great view and a place where you can easily meet and chat with other travelers then this is the place.
For dinner - if you like seafood, definitely go to the open air, live seafood restaurants beyond the mega resort strip (opposite direction to Phan Thiet). So from Mui Ne Hills, go down the hill to the main street and turn left onto the main drag. Go straight for 5-10mins by scooter (25mins walking) and as the strip of resorts finish there is a little strip of open air seafood restaurants right next to the crashing waves. We ate beautiful tamarind crab, garlic clams, tasty squid. All washed down with some chilled Dalat red wine. Do it!... you won't find good food anywhere else.

Room Tip: Definitely try and book a room at Mui Ne Hills 1 if possible as this is the original part of the hotel which is located around the main pool and bar area and has the amazing view. Mui Ne Hills 2 where we stayed (just down the path from Mui Ne Hills 1) still had big, clean rooms that opened onto a pool but no view and the courtyard/pool area that the room opened onto was fairly small and didn't have the lovely, spacious, openess that Mui Ne Hills 1 did. Our rooms were extremely quiet though (unless there were any late night pool antics, of which the only night there was we were part of the action. woooops).

We just came back after a week at Mui Ne Hills and time really flied by during our stay, we could have stayed on forever!
We have been in many many hotels in Vietnam and around the world but we have never enjoyed this kind of hospitality.
Erik, Greg, Phuong and the rest of the staff really make you feel at home and they are sincere and honest with their approach. On several occasions they helped us solve problems that had nothing to do with our stay at their hotel, repairing our motorbike free of charge was one of them but there were many more.
The view from the main swimming pool is amazing and you can easily spend the whole day there if you want.
All the staff was very caring and our kids felt very special due to all the extra attention and friendliness.
Keep in mind that the hotel is a short (100-120 meters) uphill walk (last part only) from the main street but this walk is certainly not a problem if you consider what awaits you. You will be in the central part of Mui Ne with the best restaurants and night life very close to you (but no noise from any pub to bother you).
I wish we could keep this spot as our secret but that would be impossible so here goes our testimony :-)

Room Tip: Some rooms don't have aircon but you don't need it and there is a ceiling fan just in case. Ask for food delivered from their sister outlet, "Red and Blue", great food and good prices.

This B&B is more of a boutique style resort. We were lucky to get a free upgrade to MNH1 Junior Suite.

Not an issue to arrive late in the wee hours as the security guard was notified in advance of our arrival. Erik offered to get someone to receive us on the main street if we have concern walking up the hill ourselves.

Breakfast is at the pool deck area with sea view - a great way to start the day and bask in the sunny weather. After breakfast, Erik or staff would share with you some info about Mui Ne, their offerings and help to answer any questions you might have.

During settlement, we did not realise we were charged for the room upgrade. The staff realised it subsequently and immediately return us the excess payment =)

Wish I could have stayed longer at this relaxing place with nice people.

I was upgraded to a superior room on arrival. Room was large and nicely decorated. Friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast and nice view across the bay from restaurant area. Hotel not far from restaurants and the beach, both can easily reached on foot in a few minutes. I enjoyed my time at Mui Ne Hills Hotel and will definitely go back there when I'll be in the area again!

What a fantastic place to stay. Quiet, all the amenities that anyone would require, great staff who are obliging and helpful in every way. A bit of a walk up the road, but the views from the Bar deck are quite unique. Thanks Erik, a wonderful peaful holiday was had, we have recommended to all our friends. We WILL be back!
