Without doubt one of the best home stay, if you visit then you’re going to fall in love with Coorg ;)
Hidden valley is surrounded with beautiful sincere, hidden somewhere in Galibeedu. On our way to home stay there is a beautiful pound, tea estate which is a pleasure to drive.
Host is prompt, gentle person and the cost is reasonable. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the care taker which is much appreciated!
Best part of the stay is you can go out for trekking and they have the best guide apart from the car taker Jannu [four legged friend], trekking is the best experience when you reach the peak watch the grand expanse of green in front of you, truly a stunning vista!
Missed to visit the waterfalls in the property however looking forward to revisit :)
Best Weekend escape and the first place to stay comes to my mind is “Hidden Valley in Coorg”
This is the place to go to if u want a peaceful natural and breath taking getaway. Located on the edge of Pushpagiri Forest Reserve, the property is lush, green and verdant. Pure Fresh Air and the natural forest aroma greets you at one of the best kept secrets of Coorg district.
Most pleased with the food. The home cooked food was just in the right spot, had the essence of the local flavor with fresh spices and ingredients especially the green pepper pickle and the bamboo shoots vegetable (Both seasonal)
2 delicious days spent pampering self
The only grouse we had was no proper cellular network :( . But that made it all the more fun i suggest keep yourselves electronics free here except the camera (Do Not forget)
Don’t forget to visit the private waterfall . It’s huge, easily accessible and you can get under the water although it’s full with water from the copious monsoons.
The owner was kind enough to arrange for us to be taken to the Waterfall, Tea Estate and the Viewpoint. They also gave us Gumboots during the trek. Special thanks for the arrangements!
We took the Jeep ride to some exotic locations which the Owner had planned for us, the locations were pristine and unknown to the regular tourists. The Jeep ride is paid but it’s worth every rupee.
Overall a memorable experience,
Special thanks to Prabhu for planning the Itinerary and Manu and his wife for taking very good care of us for 2 days.
Thanks and Regards,Basu
