Multi-generation family trip which was enjoyed by all especially “piccolo” Joseph.
We arrived by car around 10.30 pm and found welcoming staff and some hot food waiting for us.
Our room was a family room on the ground floor. Unfortunately it was very noisy which disturbed the baby frequently in the night. In the morning we spoke to Antonio in reception and were moved to another room just outside the main hotel block which met our needs better.
Both rooms were spotlessly clean but could do with some upgrading. As mentioned by several guests the mattresses are not very comfortable. Hot water was always available and the shower had good pressure.
The restaurant was buffet style and we had the same table all week. With a baby this was convenient and we chose a corner table so we could put the pram in the corner. At each and every meal 3 very different appetites and food preferences found a wide variety of delicious food to eat. The fish and seafood appreciated by one, the bbq and meats by another and the pasta dishes and cold selections by another. We ordered the packed lunches twice and they were of a good quality, The omelettes freshly made at breakfast were a highlight each day.
Wine, beer and other drinks all of reasonable quality. Gin fizz and prosecco enjoyed the most. One minor irritation was the water running out in the coffee machines when it was your turn. Having to go find another machine and queue again meant food went cold back at the table. We didn’t go to the Al a carte restaurant as it was easier to take turns with the baby between courses in the buffet restaurant.
We used the pool, it was cold but not as bad as some have described. Like the rooms some upgrading needed but the grounds around the pool and the hotel are very pretty and full of flowers. No shortage of beds, umbrellas and the large gazebo handy to seek shelter from the sun or the rain! We looked at the facilities including the very large pool at the adjacent hotel but found it rather noisy.
The beach was just a short walk away and very beautiful especially if you walked away left or right away from the sun beds. The water soon went deep but the current wasn’t too strong so pleasant to swim in. We walked along the beach to the large jetty and then back along the road through a nature reserve and saw some interesting birds including a heron. Watch out for mosquitos though. They were very problematic whilst we were there.
The weather was bad for 3 days so we were thankful that we had a hire car so we could visit vineyards, beaches etc.as much better weather in the south of the island. We explored Orosei which is a very interesting town and could be reached by a reasonably easy walk or by a little train.
The hotel, had as described a few shortcomings but where it wowed us was with the friendly staff. Special thank you to Antonio in reception, the bar staff especially Lucia and the chef who made the omelettes at breakfast. He responded well to my ordering the fillings in Italian, gently correcting my mistakes.
Finally Joseph wants to say thank you to you all for making his first holiday such a good one. Mille Grazie

We stayed at this hotel for a week on 16 September 2018. On arrival it looked clean and welcoming & comfortable. We arrived sometime between 11pm-1130 and were told food was available for us in the restaurant. We then had to go and choose our table that we wanted, and then were asked to sit down once we'd made our choice of table. We had NO idea that the table that we choose to sit in would be then "allocated" to us, and we would have to sit at the same table, each day for breakfast, lunch & dinner. For the duration of our holiday... Hmm. Not the best of starts for us to be honest! Once we were more awake the following morning, we decided that we would move ourselves to another table that we preferred, which was not currently "occupied". We asked if we could do this to one of the waiting on staff, but unfortunately she didnt really speak any english, and im ashamed to say i dont speak Italian at all. However, they got the gist once they had watched us move.
The hotel is pretty quiet and there is NO entertainment whatsoever. Or literally anything to do. If you are staying here and the weather is really bad (eg flash flooding, strong winds and rain battering it down, as was the case for 4 days whilst we we there) there is absolutely noting to do on the complex.
We just wanted to chill out by the pool for a week, but through no fault of the hotel's, the weather was awful. So to stop the boredom, we hired a car for 4 days and headed south into the stunning national park, & then further south to the coast. It was all gorgeous! The landscape and the mountains beautiful.
Back on the hotel, the room itself was smaller than i imagined after looking at photo's n the hotels website, but it was spotlessly clean and made up nicely. The room cleaning ladies were excellent at their jobs.
Food: Very VERY hit and miss. Catered more for their German clientele, than the Sardinian holiday that we were expecting.
Limited availability on food. NO table service in the evenings.

If you like the pool, beware of this one. Its FREEZING. As my husband has just said, "Its more like an arctic plunge". WAY too cold. Nobody dared use it.

The best thing about this hotel were the pool bar staff, Franceso & Lucia. They were FABULOUS at their jobs. Hard working and friendly. Lovely people. They definitely need a pay rise for the work they do!

This hotel is best suited to retired German couples.
Would we go back..? Disappointingly no.

A lovely hotel situated in a large and beautiful Mediterranean garden, a short walk away from one of the most beautiful beaches. If one is looking for tranquillity and relaxation, for a picturesque scenery, for a place to read a book and slow down a bit, that's the spot.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is very good. And the staff - simply amazing!

The only disadvantage - mosquitoes. A repellent is a must!

The standard of the beds are poor cheap worn out mattresses
We complained about the springs sticking out. The food is canteen standard and it is limited to what the you can choose. Do yourself a favour and go for a better hotel if you want to go to Sardinia. The hotel changed the mattress three times and t ended up being worse. The pool is freezing it’s no wonder that no one was in it

The hotel has just been taken over by Sentido and although it needs very slight modernisation it was great, made especially more enjoyable by the great staff, especially on the bar and in the rooms. Food was excellent and the grounds extensive with a great beach too.
