“New Year celebrations in Sainte Foy”

This is the 2nd time we've visited the ski resort of Sainte Foy and the first time we've stayed with Snowology in Chalet Sache. The resort is fabulous, small, picturesque and ideally suited to young families like our own. The chalet host company Snowology were great from beginning to end of the trip with the organisation, advise on travel and overall coordination. It's the little things that make a difference - like DVDs of the holiday, sampling local cheese and wine and fabulous accommodation and service. Chalet Sache is a comfortable, well equipped chalet. We were thoroughly spoilt during our week with full board and catering that Heston Blumenthal (he was staying in the resort the same week!!) would have been proud of (not the fancy stuff just well cooked and excellently presented food!). This was our first ski trip over New Year and Snowology did all they could to make it special including ensuring guests with birthdays were thoroughly spoilt. Can't recommend it highly enough - we will be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room if possible as they have good views of the surrounding area but all rooms w...

I had my first snowology experience at St Foy for Xmas 2013. I have never felt compelled to write a report regarding a holiday before but I felt that this experience was really worth sharing. We were made to feel welcome immediately, having help unload luggage after a long journey makes a big difference. The accommodation was very well presented with attention to detail that I did not anticipate... Chocolates on the bed, Molton Brown toiletries, tea in bed (if requested!). The food was outstanding - highlights being Turkey en croute for Christmas Day and the rum and raisin tiramisu on our last evening. I also have to add the daily cakes for afternoon tea were always stunning, made fresh daily. The slopes at St Foy are quiet and friendly, perfect for my and my daughter as we are inexperienced skiers. On the flip side my husband has enjoyed snowboarding at St foy for the last 20 years both on and off piste, so it really caters for all abilities. I cannot recommend snowology enough, it is rare to find such high quality service and value. I have already booked my next visit and cannot wait!

What can I say... we had the most amazing time with the most amazing people and with amazing chalet hosts.

Forget Warner, forget Branson... GO SNOWOLOGY !!

Food was superb and Hannah's cakes were phenomenal. Iain did well with his lovely cheese reviews and his game selections allowed young and old to join in together. Many laughs, couple of bruises here and there along the way but it was worth it. And Andy..... what can I say but thank you. We've already booked to go back in 6-7 weeks.

To those who haven't experienced SNOWOLOGY... give them a call. Regards Tin Tin

Room Tip: It will all depend on your numbers. We were a family of 3 and we had two rooms linked with a shared...

Firstly I really should have done this sooner but just don't know where the time goes...from the time I booked to the day we left this was a brilliant holiday. We had an ever increasing group...more people joined on a weekly basis till we eventually number 24! The youngest was 6 weeks old and the oldest 60 years of age. We took both chalets Sache and Mouflon and both were excellent - Mouflon is the more grown up space but Sache has a hot tub on the balcony over looking the valley and the Sauna. The chalet hosts had everything covered from rallying the kids at meal times, ski hosting the group during the day, and the games in the evening nothing was too much to ask. With a group of 24 you always have the dietary ifs and buts....not a problem with Snowology as prior to arrival we got a call to talk through any requests...nice touch. The food was very good...more than we could handle.....and always ended with the most amazing local cheeses. Breakfast varied each day, also cereals, pastries and then a hot cooked breakfast that changed daily - best brekki the pancakes! St Foy itself met the needs of all our skiers from total beginners to mogul junkies but for those who wanted to go further a field Snowology were happy to oblige ...
We enjoyed our week so much we are back again next year .....all 20 odd of us.....

Room Tip: familys are best suited to Sache but for luxury go for Mouflon

This was our 4th year at Chalet Sache and the Snowology team once again did us proud. Sainte Foy is a wonderful little resort if you love uncrowded pistes and as much off piste excitement as you could wish for. The food, wine, ski hosting & entertainment provided by Andy and the Snowology team were all first class and sitting in the hot tub admiring the view at the end of a day's skiing was the icing on the cake.

I really don't know what Candy W was looking at as my family couldn't fault the Chalet and all ages had a wonderful time.

Room Tip: all rooms are ensuite and of similar size except the family room (2 double rooms which adjoin each o...

It's sad I can only give this accommodation 1 star, because the hosts M&L made my week.

If you like chipped dinner plates/bowls, plus the table mats with chipped.
My room was fresh and light with plenty of space, a shame the towels are stained
and bed linen had marks on them (I have the photos) and the chalets bedroom door frames have shifted and some doors in the bedroom don't close suitably.

The true shame is that both hosts worked so hard and worked in the old tired/run down chalet.

This resort is amazing and this year I have found some chalets with more love and attention!!!

We booked a very last minute (the day before) 5 day break at Chalet Sache with Snowology. Mike was really helpful in the booking process quickly answering any questions we had.

We arrived by car from Lyon airport with lots of texts from Mike giving directions. All the staff were really helpful and friendly, particularly Seb and Sophie, who were quite fantastic; great food, ski guiding, comfortable rooms with Molton Brown products, unlimited wine/beer, hot tub, sauna, introductions to ski hire (ZigZag - brilliant ... change boots/skis/boards anytime) - there were really no complaints at all !

Perhaps we were lucky with some really nice fellow guests - but the staff ensured we all intermingled and got to know each other so we were soon playing games together, skiing together... and they took us to La Rosiere and Tignes for day outs.

Mike and Monica - you are great, and you have put together a great team !

Saint Foy is a gem of a resort with no queues, few skiers, good lifts, sufficient skiing and really friendly locals - please don't spoil it !

If you need more challenging slopes Val d'Isere and Tignes are just 20 mins away with all the crowds, queues, elbowing and stress ..!
