We had prebooked a table for saturday night just after Christmas. On arrival the pub had a lovely festive feel about it and the table we were placed at was in front of a roaring open fire - very cosy.
When everyone finally decided what they wanted to eat we did not have to wait very long at all for baked Camembert with crusty bread for starters - everyone tucked in and it made it very sociable to share.
Not long after, the scorching hot plates with the main courses were brought out, We had (huge) Fish and Chips, Salmon, Steak, Chicken in a fruity sauce and Pork - every recipient of each of these dishes was commenting on how delicious they were. Really nice home cooked , very generous portions, very polite and obliging staff, the prices were also fair for the quality of the food - all in all a very enjoyable evening and highly recommended!
