Finding this hotel wasn’t too bad as it was listed on our GPS. The reason we chose this hotel was it was in Flayosc and to dine at the L Oustaou restaurant . When we arrived in Flayosc, the first thing we did was drive to the restaurant, located in the old town , L Oustaou is listed in the Michelin with two forks and luckily got a dinner reservations for that evening .

The Bastide turned our to be wonderfully charming and the owner was very welcoming and gracious . Even the drizzly weather didn't spoil the beautiful grounds with boated a lovely gardens and pool.. Our room was spacious, great bathroom and had it’s own patio which was great as it was a perfect spot for our picnic lunch.

This review is about the Bastide but as an aside the restaurant was terrific. We had the Foie Gras as an appetizer and, the first bite took our breath away., the best ever. We both had filet mignon , followed by a cheese course. By the time dessert arrived chocolate fondant and strawberry/rhubarb we were satiated and very happy.. We had a great bottle of local wine for only 18 euro. If your in this area this is the hotel is perfect and the restaurant is the place to dine

Room Tip: Our room was facing the garden and had a nice patio. I think all the rooms must be lovely as the p...

My wife and I have been going to Flayosc for over ten years usually we would rent a private villa, however, on this occasion as the kids were staying at home we decided on a hotel stay.

We had a wonderful stay, in the day we spent our time by the lovely pool in the endless sunshine or would sit in the garden drinking lush local wines.

The couple running the hotel make you feel so welcome, nice breakfast, air conditioned room which was spotlessly clean and well equipped.

From any angle the views from the various seating areas in the garden are so typical of beautiful Provence, I always know when I have a great stay by how difficult the packing up and leaving is and how often I suggest to my wife we could always stay an extra night or two.

Less than five minute walk to the village with all its wonderful restaurants and scenery you have to try this one.

Once you have found the hotel - which is quite tricky - then you find yourself in the grounds of an old French house full of rustic charm. Our early evening drink sitting in the garden was delightful. Our room as expected was small but had everything that was needed, was lovingly decorated and perfectly clean. The big disappointment was the evening meal. For the 38€ menu, we expected food to match. The starter was chopped raw salmon in a tumbler with a small side-salad, neither was dressed or had any flavour. Then the main course - the fish "rouget" was a single, tiny gelatinous filet on a bed of rice. There was a splodge of aubergine mush and a single green bean. The sweet was equally disappointing.
We slept well, breakfast was generous and delicious. Stay by all means, but eat elsewhere!

On the edge of the hilly village of Flayosc, this rustic hotel in large gardens deserves more stars. The rooms are tastefully furnished, with curtains and covers of Provencal material, with lovely views over the countryside. The food is excellent and you can eat outside under the trees or in a pleasant dining room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool of decent size, and free towels and loungers. We wished we had stayed here longer.

Breakfast was poor and expensive. The room could have done with a good clean with a filthy carpet on the floor of the room totally unacceptable. There are much nicer places around this area. Parking is a long way from the rooms and the free internet was useless

We had a two-night stay at this hotel. An authentic Provencal mas ( farmhouse ) with a superb cuisine. Every course was a feast! The second night I took the prestige menu and I was smiling once more. No reason to look anywhere else in this region. Good location to visit the Croix lake and gorges de Vendon.

The hotel is charming with very very friendly staff. The restaurant I think has one or 2 Michelin stars but it was shut on the day we were there. We were very nicely surprised although I found the standart room a bit too small for 2 people.Anyway,as we were checking out we discovered that the bottle of Perrier from the minibar was 6 EUROS! So was the bottle of Orangina! We paid it of course even though there was no prices in the room for the minibar.I found it quite dissapointing. It is not about the money ,it is about the fact that noone tells you how expenssive the drinks are at the minibar .
