“Crillon le Brave review”
Reviewed April 13, 2012

All I can say is...Wonderful! Its an ideal place where one can find peace and serenity. The staff were very professional and very understanding in every way! The hotel is atop a hill where one can see the Ventoux and visit the village.

The hotel is very contemporary and the vistas overlooking the Ventoux is breathtaking! the dining area is well situated where one can either have dinner outside overlooking the gorgeous views or inside as it gets a bit chilly outside. The rooms are wonderfully decorated with contemporary colors and modern furniture and fixtures.

Poolside - small but quaint. Could use more staff service for drinks & cocktail hour. Also, could replace some of the old umbrellas and clean up the little area atop the pool (shady area).
Restaurant - I think they changed chefs, therefore, a bit too much chutney for my tastes.
Rooms - excellent, gotta try the tower with its duel bathtubs overlooking the Ventoux!
Staff - excellent.
Library - needs more lighting...seems somber and uninviting.
Extras - I was treated like a star and that is important for a guest!!! SERVICE!!!
Guests - Very well mannered and the children were respectful and not screamers!
Spa-Massage - Excellent.
Fitness center - I don't know if they have one.
The hotel is pricey so expect to pay for it - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Just hoping that they add more to the hotel...with regards to the surrounding homes.
I will certainly go back (Fourth time)!

We absolutely loved our stay at Crillon. It was a little off the tourist path, which was ideal for a quiet and romantic weekend. The hotel was gorgeous and the views were breathtaking. Small details like an ipod cord in the room enhanced the experience.

Our only complaint is that breakfast was a little pricey (19 euro/person) and we were never informed of the price. We were merely told that breakfast would be served on the veranda until 11. We were a little shocked that the simple (albeit delicious) breakfast cost so much and felt the desk should have been more transparent with the cost. We probably would have skipped it.

Overall, a great stay and we hope to return again!

Just completed our second visit (4 nights) and we will definitely be back. The setting for the hotel is spectacular, with a hilltop site and Mont Ventoux as the backdrop from just about everywhere. The hotel comprises a collection of houses which seem to make up the entire village - or at least that part on the peak of the hill - and every room is simply stunning. The staff are wonderful with fluent English (in fact English as a mother-tongue) on reception (Eilidgh and Jackie) and nothing is too much trouble. We booked a junior suite and although lovely we asked to change as it was split level and each half was a bit small. No problem.

The only let-down is the menu is limited for a four night stay, even though you can order from the lunch menu. But the Vieux Four restaurant, 20 yards away down some steps, makes a great alternative and indeed provided the best meal we had in Crillon.

Room Tip: Room 31 is amazing - double aspect with views all round. Not cheap though! To be honest I doubt i...

We have just come back from a 2 night stay at this little gem of a hotel. The spot is amazing, the staff are welcoming and very accommodating and we were very lucky to have had two delicious dinners at the hotel restaurant.
After reading a few negative remarks about the food we did not think we would eat there both nights, but we were very pleasantly surprised.. the food is michelin star level.. We said as much upon departure, and the reception informed us that their new chef has been with them for only 1 month, so that explains the other reviews. Don't hesitate, you will not be dissappointed :)

Thank you for this very generous review.
We have made great efforts over the recent past to develop further the cuisine and service in our restaurant, and we are delighted to have attracted such an outstanding young local talent as Philippe Zemour to be our head chef. With Coralie running the service team, we are confident of providing our guests with a great dining experience.

We absolutely loved Crillon Le Brave.
Perfect Provencial setting, fabulous room and views, gorgeous pool, grounds and restaurant.
Relaxed elegance. Service exceptional.
Located on a hilltop village in north Provence. You will definitely need a car to go on day trips and the like. We managed to explore all the way down to The Luberon and St Remy de Provence. It was wonderful being able to return to the serenity of Crillon every evening.
We left relaxed and rejuvenated.
Highly recommended.

We recently celebrated our son's wedding there and it couldn't have been more perfect in every way: venue, scenery, staff, accommodations, cuisine. My son and daughter-in-law planned the wedding with the staff via phone and email from the states, and everything went off without a hitch. Without a doubt, the Crillon merits five stars in every category.
