“Great improvement since last visit in 2007”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2014

Once you find it well worth a visit.
Good visitor centre with a wide range of options as to how to view the caves. We took the tram ride as we are getting on a bit but for younger visitors there are several more strenuous options.
All options priced separately - the tram ride cost $B60 but is well worth it. The tour starts with a presentation showing how Barbados and the caves were formed together with a geological history of the Island - very well done and interesting. Apparently the trip travels a mile underground although it does retrace itself. Plenty of photo opportunities and several places where you can alight for a better look at the fantastic stalactites and stalagmites. Vastly improved sine our last visit in 2007.

“Stunning!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014

Fantastic tram ride takes you down into the caves and you feel a sense of thrill as it starts to descend! As you move through the caves you get to see all the beautiful formations and the guide we had was very entertaining even if this was mostly due to her over-the-top exclamations! This was one of my best experiences in Barbados (although this may have been mostly because it rained nearly the whole time I was there and this was underground! - although you still get dripped on from the water coming from the ceiling!). Definitely recommend!

“Skip the tram and go by foot!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014

We did the eco-adventure tour and had a great experience. You have ample time to take pictures and look at everything, unlike on the tram where they just make a couple stops. We were walking in streams, crawling under stalactites, swimming in a waterfall pool. It was quite a memorable adventure but also intense, so be prepared. The guides take pictures on your own camera (make sure it's waterproof!) so you don't have to buy the photo package if you don't want to.
I was quite surprised that they had free lockers and showers available after the tour so we could keep our valuables dry and clean off afterwards. You will be completely soaked and dirty at the end, so bring a towel and change of clothes. Don't wear anything you wouldn't want to get ruined.

“Amazing place!”

After latest renavation the place is like straight from USA - The visitor center, Trams, staff etc. Fully professional.

Maybe a bit pricey to be at Barbados, but worth to visit.

“Informative but too modern”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014 via mobile

Very interesting place with great facilities. It was good when we went as it wasn't busy at all. The movie played prior to going to the caves was short and informative. I would rather see the caves by foot but you still get time to walk around. Beautiful formations, would definitely recommend.
