We stumbled across this working farm by chance. We were lucky in that it was January and they could accommodate us for a short break. Brilliantly situated off the
M5, Exeter and Exeter airport, just 20 mins away, friends joined us from Edinburgh, which was brilliant in that several airports fly to Exeter/Bristol. The family were really helpful in all aspects, not only in helping in travel/ trips/ groceries etc also for example our heater broke on an icy day but a replacement was within hrs, sorry but my bones aren't as they were 50 yrs ago, Ha Ha. We really enjoyed the sheep, chickens, goats and beautiful outlooks especially the fabulous Devon Orchard, bare branches but highlighted by the frost, can't wait to see it in spring.
The day after arrival we had a wedding in Torquay which was 30 mins away, the local town was 4 mins away.
We were told the original farmhouse was hundreds of yrs old. Devon is spectacular we were 10 mins from Dartmoor national Park, the accommodation was quiet and of a good quality. We would really recommend it most definitely. Will be back. Felt really refreshed after our weekend. Great timeMore
