We booked this 4 star hotel expecting a 4 star hotel but we were extremely disappointed with the food and entertainment. The quality was very poor. We are not fussy eaters but if you liked chips it was fantastic. Chips and burgers for your snack at 10:30am and again at 3:30pm. I could have got into the restaurant blind folded as there was not variety of food each day. I would not go back again or recommend this hotel to anybody. I would rate the hotel as 2 star plus. The entertainment was bad too.

me, my wife and 14 year old son have just returned back from a 2 week stay at this hotel,we have all enjoyed this holiday and would go back tomorrow if we could. The weather was fantastic every day.The food was very good and the beverages were excellent, the room was cleaned, with clean towels everyday. The entertainment was average apart from 1 night when Lady Ga Ga was on,really enjoyed the show, bingo was on every night, which me and the wife enjoyed,we won twice winning 90 euros, the entertainment staff worked very hard and all the staff were excellent. The pool was good and yes there were people with ear infections, i think this is down to there being no toilets near the pool area, you have to go back into the hotel to use the toilet. The sunbeds were hard to get hold off after 7,30 and then these would be the ones on the grass ,but the beach was only a 1 minute walk away, which we did most days.Went on the Cola Cola boat trip which was really good. The Water Park was really good, just a 2 minute walk.Reading the review on the Russian guy who was drunk, well yes he had had a few but really the guy was doing nothing, actually he was quite a nice bloke who i said hello to everyday.Lauren the rep was really nice and was always there if you needed her.Overall we all loved it.

Room Tip: ask for pool view

Me, my husband and 10 year old son stayed for 10 days and have just returned. Overall the Anastasia is good value for money. The staff were all friendly and the room was a good size for us - the bathroom was very clean and the sheets/towels were changed and the room cleaned every day. It must be difficult to cater for so many tastes but we thought the catering was really good - we knew there were no individual restaurants here so we were prepared for the set up. Generally, meal times were pretty painless there weren't really any queues when we went for food although it was off-putting at times to see people eating four or five meals on one plate - guess you'll always get your gannets! The pool was fine but our son has had an ear infection and I wonder if this was the source - he has never had one before. The water park is great but costly at about 30 euros for the three of us as we did not go with Thomas Cook directly - if you have to pay there are vouchers on receiption which gives 2 euros discount per person. We did scuba diving with Just Scuba who give a free try in the pool and that was a great day out as was the Black Pearl pirate ship - totally recommend that. The entertainment people tried their best but bingo and a mini disco every night was a bit much - we went out three times during our stay which broke the monotony. Probably the most annoying thing was the sunbeds - there are not enough for everyone and towels go out early hours of the morning - this is pretty maddening when you see that some people don't even turn up to use them! Overall we had a good time and got what we paid for.

Room Tip: We had room 218 and this was fine noise wise with a nice balcony and a side view of the sea.

Just returned from a 10 night break at the Anastasia Beach, staff very friendly, food brillant (im a fussy eater but there was always something there on the menu for me), rooms a little dated but who goes on holiday to look at the room decor, maid service is brilliant, only one grudge on this hotel is the sunbed issue, we were sat in the bar around 12am when you watched people come down with their towels to put on sunbeds bundles of them, only sat by the pool twice as unless you get up at silly o clock you wont get one, spent most days in the waterpark which is great fun, only problem there is you cant use your all inclusive but not much of a problem to go back to the Hotel, some children there were disruptive running around corridors at 1am, some were drinking alcholic cocktails whilst there parents were getting drunk even kids so young as 13, great hotel for families, Entertainment team did their best and sometimes were quite funny, lovely walk along prom into Protaras, did the Black Pearl trip and worth every Euro, great day out for the family and was kept entertained during the whole day, Our Thomas Cook Rep Lauren was one of the best reps i have ever come across, it was her first season as being a rep and if she carries on the way she did she will go far. Also the pool at this hotel does not seem to be clean as many of the quests there were getting ear infections, my son got one there last year so took all precautions this year and kept him out of the water so he only went into the water park and was infection free.

we arrived at 3.30am to be greeted by a rather rude receptionist he basically said for us all to listen as he would only tell us all once, so given all the info and room key directed to our room on the 1st floor we was surprised to find it said superior on the door having not booked a superior room however thats where superior ended 2 twin pushed together and a chair bed for my 13 yr old son all the bed linen was clean so we just wanted to get some sleep after a late flight, so in the morning we had a good look around, the bathroom was lovely and had a massive balcony with sun loungers on but the sleeping area left a lot to be desired wallpaper patched up, pieces missing, it had laminate floor that was all coming up however it was clean and we was only sleeping and showering in there so didnt want it too spoil the holiday but wouldnt have liked to have paid any extra for the room as a upgrade, we had a free digital safe which we have always had to pay for you get a mini fridge air con excellent the maid changed your towels everyday and made beds but in the 2 wks we was there i dont think she swept or moped the floor. 1st impressions of the pool was good but after a few days noticed the water was very murky and saw a lot of people with cotton wool in there ears due to ear infections of which my son and husband also got in the last few days of the holiday i asked the thomas cook rep about the pools and she said that she had spoke to the manager and he assured her that it was cleaned everyday but nobody you spoke to said they had seen anyone clean it however one day a maintenance man came along with a bucket of some chemical and just launched it in the pool whilst people were in, never had a problem getting a sunbed , bar staff most very friendly and would just bring you a drink without you asking them once they knew what you drank. food was good just however when you stay for 2 wk your getting the same stuff as the previous wk as its only done on a 1 wk basis but there is always something to eat pretty much all the times. entertainment team tried hard but was a little unorganised some of the time, they always had time to chat with you around the pool during the day, lauren the thomas cook rep was a lovely girl always had time if you needed her.As mentioned in the previous review regarding the russians 1 night there was a russian man who was very drunk and thought he could keep grabbing people security did nothing just stood and watched a barman speak to him the police was called they did nothing they kept making him go to his room he would go up in 1 lift and back down in another he was basically taking the mickey out of the them .the hotel needs a refurb to bring it upto a four star rated hotel, just one other thing check with the hotel before you go that you actually have a room cause there was a lot of people who booked online to get there and had no rooms for them one night it was about midnight and a family of about 10 people turned up to be told they had no rooms for 2 days and would have to go a different hotel and a wedding party was expected friends and family and when the groom enquired at reception was bluntly told they didnt have rooms either and it was blamed on a website error.

Room Tip: one away from the station pub and the blue spice restaurant best rooms are facing the waterpark
