We have just returned from the Anastasia after a 10 day holiday and please don't listen to any negative comments this hotel has an perfect location is clean and the rooms are spacious with exceptional clean bathrooms which are cleaned every dayand beds ary comfortable. There is a kettle in rooms but tea, coffe and milk not replenished after first day we did mention this to management and was told that the maids are not instructed the replace these after first day which I think should be changed after all you are all inclusive and it would be nice to have a cup of tea when you get up and not have to wait until you go down for breakfast. We arrived early in the morning and we had requested a sea view but unfortunately had a room near the water park, after speaking to management later on in the day the said we could be moved to a sea view room the following day when one was available and we were not disappointed the view was perfect.
All staff are extremely helpful and friendly especially Alexandra and Asdi (sorry if I have your names wrong) but these are the two young waitresses who greet guests at dining room door. The food is good and they have a good choice although I do agree with previous comments about the drink, you do need more than one drink with your meal even if you have to get it yourself. The all inclusive deal is very good there is plenty of choice and although you have to buy bottled water you can get water in a cup so it is still available and if you do have a bottle they will fill that up for you.
The only complaint would be the outside space and the entertainment. They have a very large dining room and on the side of reception a large bar/dining room which they use for lunch meals and snacks. I think this space is wasted as the outside space for relaxing outside and lounging around the pool is very cramped they have the evening entertainment in the same outside area and once again everyone seems to be sitting on top of each other. The entertainment is VERY poor we always went over to the hotel marlita which is next door and this outside space is much more spacious and the entertainment is fantastic they have a brilliant team who entertain from morning to night and there is always something going on. If you are looking or have already booked a holiday you might like to go and have a look as there is a lovely grassed area just passed the pool and facing the sea and it is a lovely area to spend the day if you don't like people sitting on top of you. You are unable to use your all inclusive deal but the hotel is only next door and is within walking distance for drinks.
Overall I wouldn't hestitate to return to this hotel although we would still spend our time over at marlita perhaps tsokkos group could look at maybe combining the two hotels or maybe looking to extend their outside space and reducing the bar/dining area which is not used to its full potential

BEEN TO CYPRUS MANY TIMES AND HAVE ALLWAYS HAD A WOUNDERFUL TIME, WEATHER IS BRILL, PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY. THIS time we booked all inclusive as we have three children 12 / 7 and 3 yrs . what a let down! . the rooms are basic but nice , allinclusive? no you have to pay for crisps/ slush pupies ,water, and any beers / juces that are in the fridge (the nice ones) no beer only larger and cocktails are all inclusive. the selection of food was Ok but put off when we seen the cooks cooking meat for the bbq night at 11AM next to the bins.and ice lollies are locked in the freezer until 18:00 when the sun goes down? the pool was nice but again had it's own problems the bridge over the pool was closed due to disrepair (all the wood was rotten) and there is a cesspit near so the smell of sewerage was srong and made us feel sick , so spent alot of time in the aqua park which is owned by the hotel but not part of the allinclusive deal, entry is free but you have to pay for food and drink. paid 15 euros for three oange juces. the entertainment was terrible and only lasted 20 mins for the kids in the form of a mini disco in german and spanish, adult entertainment was a quiz in the afternoon and bingo in the night which cost 10 euros to play. the staff are nice and friendly but a bit egar , went to the bar got drinks put them on the table took one of the kids to the toilet came back and the drinks had gone ! this happend all the time , as soon as the bar staff see an empty table thay clean it regardless if you have full drinks or not. we stayed in the apartments on the staition pub side, never again, the pub is noisey until 1:30 am and to top it off there are industrial washers/dryers under the appartments which vibrate and drone all night so you will not sleep. the lifts are dangerous the door sensors are broke and the doors will and did close on you . we reported this on day one to reception and rep byt still like this when we left 2 weeks later!. . many guests requested transfers lots of complaints not to mention the three day strike by hotel staff. we spent an extra £2000 euros to entertain oureselfs and kids. OVERALL BIG DISAPOINTMENT.sorry

anastasia hotel is nice totally different from last year though entertainment not very good this year they tried there best bring back one stop entertainment we stayed in the apartment which were very nice over looking the waterpark the staff were very freindly and polite would go back again

Room Tip: if you stay in the apartments you need to ask for the waterpark side especially if you have children as the other side is noisy from the station pub over the road

FOOD/DRINKS: You'd have to be mega picky not to be able to find something you liked at every meal! A great selection including carvery every night and some great themed nights (Spag Bol and garlic bread on Italian night was lovely and BBQ night went down well with everyone!!) Snacks were available practically the whole time the main meals werent.. alot of the time chose to enjoy hot snacks round the pool during the day instead of actually going in for lunch... snacks varied each day (unlike some places where it was hotdogs , chips and burgers for the whole 2 weeks) Snacks included things like stuffed jacket potatoes (cheese and bacon) spring rolls, pizza , pasta, chicken nuggets... always piping hot and constantly being refilled by the staff. Also always plenty fruit & cakes to enjoy too!! My kids enjoyed non alcoholic cocktails made by the barstaff as well as all of the other free soft drinks (including milk) and unlimited ice cream that you you able to help yourself to from 10am -6pm. The alcohol all inclusive drinks were great.. good strength and could be served in real glass if you prefered this to the plastic cups.. Again the barstaff were happy to make cocktails if asked and even offered to deliver drinks to your table if ordering too many to carry! (Weve been to hotels where would only allow max 2 drinks at a time, this hotel was great.. would allow you to order as many as required (within reason of course) which was great for us as large party so meant we could take it in turns at going to the bar) Hot drinks were also available and my parents often enjoyed Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate through out the day. My only gripe would be during the evening meal all drinks were via waitress order only (some nights were busy and our drinks were only arriving as we had almost finished our meal) My 2yr old often refused to eat his meal as was thirsty and wanted a drink but even the soft drink machines werent in service during this time (Top Tip: After two or three nights of encountering this problem we decided to visit the bar area before entering the restaurant and would take a drink each with us to our table to enjoy "during" our meal which we were told was fine by the staff so did this for the remainder of the holiday) If out of the hotel for the day (on a trip or simply exploring the Island) you can request a packed lunch from the reception the day before(sandwich, fruit, bottled water) which may come in handy for kids until you get to where your going .
ROOMS: We stayed in hotel. Rooms werent huge but did have everything you need so I cant complain ( some of our party stayed in the apartment block and their rooms were very spacious!!) Rooms were cleaned everyday and towels changed daily too! Maids were very good and very trustworthy. We often left jewellery and money in our room and nothing was ever touched! Air-con was fab! Each room was able to control their own air-con which was great compared to some of the "centrally-controlled" hotels we hav stayed in before. Fridge in each room was also a nice feature as not always available when staying AI somewhere. Tv in room often had english films on / Good size beds- very comfy / Plenty storage space and best of all..... We didnt spot a single bug/insect in our room for the whole two week stay!!! (Not even an ant! lol) We stayed on first floor - side by side we had seven rooms along with our family 129 / 131 / 133 / 135 / 137 /139 /141 ... our room all over looked the pools and waterpark - we had fab views!! I guess this means that rooms opposite us (even numbers) all faced the street outside the hotel (supermarket and kebab shop directly opposite) (Top Tip: Each door was opened with a card- card then placed onto slot inside room allowed air con and lights to work.. but this meant once you leave room you take key with you and air con stops so upon returning to room it was very hot and you had to wait while for air con to cool it down again... we asked reception for second key as had locked ourselves out of room (no charge for this) then constantly left one card in slot so aircon on through out the day so when we returned to the room is lovely and cool at all times!)
ENTERTAINMENT: Wasnt Great!! As a large group we really just entertained ourselves! Hannah and Mya ( two of the Reps) were lovely and did try very hard but had very little to work with... Never been to "kids club" before that didnt give "certificates" to kids for winning games or a lolly pop as a prize if won talent show etc.... they literally had ZERO to spend and one night even bought sweeties as prizes out of their own money!!! Professional acts were on 3-4 times a week but even these "mainly singers" werent very good!! My kids loved Hannah and Mya and after playing French Bowels and Aqua gym they would gladly play in the pool with the kids!
WATERPARK: Only FREE to THOMAS COOK guests.. we used this daily - AI is NOT included at waterpark but we would spend and hour a day on slides then head back to our pool for free drinks and ice cream ( 2mins walk)
HOTEL FACILITIES: Pools were lovely, very clean and staff cleaned round the pool area constantly. My husband used the Hotel Gym every day and was very impressed with it. Indoor pool was lovely- clean.. lovely greecian decor and not too cold! Hairdresser, nails and massage also available in hotel but I thought very expensive- we used services outside of the hotel for this! 24hr reception - very helpful staff! Kids Club was OK... kids joined in french bowls and darts but were playing along side adults?? (some very competitive adults too!!) Did colouring in on an afternoon and then played in water with reps but that was about it. Stage not evening entertainment and KIDS DISCO is not ideal!!!! There is no fence or gate around it and leads straight onto main street and road!!! I had to have eyes in the back of my head with my 2yr old as too easy to get off stage and onto street!!! (Top Tip - Ensure children use toilets in reception on an evening as downstairs pool loos were open but are right night to indoor pool that was also left open !!)
STAFF: Very friendly, nothing was a problem for them. They all knew each childs name high-fived them daily! lol Bel-Boy serviced on arrival was a nice touch.. bags all taken to rooms for us whilst we had quick look around the hotel! Waitresses cleared empty drink cups on night time and took orders and delivered drinks back to your table too when not too busy ( we left them nice tip at end of out holiday! lol)
LOCATION: Approx 1hr 10mins transfer time from airport. A few bars and shops and restaurants within few mins walk but main area of Protaras approx 25-30min walk away or 8E taxi or 10E for 6 seater taxi. Only 2min walk across road to beach, nice little cove.
TRIPS: On our walk along the seafront to Protaras one night we took flyers for different boat trips and the following day decided to do the Coke-Cola boat trip. It cost 10E each for my husband and I and all kids go free ( 20E for my family of 4!) it lasted approx 2 and half hours... we all got free drink (wine or juice) Kids loved the glass bottom.. we got close to Ghost Town of Famagusta then stopped in Blue Lagoon and were able to jump from boat and swim ... little shop on boat for drinks snacks ice lollies etc... Only wish we had time to do this trip again before we left as well worth the money!! There we lots of boat trips offering same sort of thing but prices varied alot so this one was defo a bargin!
All in all we had a great holiday - If hotel spent a little more money on improving Entertainment I think it would get alot more guests returning for a second time! That aside, its somewhere I think we will visit again!

Room Tip: we stayed on first floor and had room 129 - 141 ( all odd numbers) we all faced waterpark and pools and had fab views!!

Anasasia hotel is in a great location beside a lovely sandy bay. The hotel is excellent for families with small children. However if you like adult entertainment in the evening, this is not the hotel for you. Perhaps they could consider adult entertainment after 9pm. We had a great 1 bedroom apartment with a sea view which was cleaned every day. Foodwise you couldnt fault it, as there was plenty variation of which to choose from. I must comment on how helpful and friendly the staff are, especially the barstaff. We were asked if we would transfer here from the Iliada beach hotel with perks if we did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at both hotels, as we felt as though we had a two centre holiday. The Iliada is about a 20 minute walk along the promenade, so we were able to explore the main Protaras and the Pernera part of Protaras.
