“What a Wonderful Time in the Desert”
Reviewed February 25, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

I received a recommendation from a neighbor to book with Saleh for our visit to Wadi Rum. I now owe my neighbor a big thanks since it turned out to be a great recommendation. Saleh and Ateq were both great hosts and we loved our time in Wadi Rum. Ateq gave us a very extensive tour of Wadi Rum and it certainly seemed like we were getting to see and do things that other companies were not showing their guests. We had a great evening spent at the camp with Saleh and Ateq. We had a lot of fun trying to learn Arabic from Ateq. I think he did as much laughing at our attempts as we did laughing at ourselves. I would highly recommend that any visitors that visit Wadi Rum contact Saleh! We would love to go back again.

We spent New Year's Eve with Saleh and his family and had an amazing time! We contacted Saleh through his website the day before going to Wadi Rum and he was very helpful. He arranged the transport from Petra and met us next morning in Rum. We had a great desert experience and loved to ride around in the jeep! The bedouin camp was really charming and surprisingly comfortable. We spent the evening around a bonfire and ate some of the best food we had on our entire Jordan trip. Saleh had arranged fireworks, which was an amazing sight over the empty desert. If you're going to Wadi Rum, this is really a safe bet!

“Worth to spend more than one night”

I've spent here for a night. I had a great experience to stay with Saleh's family. Alia who is Saleh's wife is a good chef. She cooked for me a very delicious Bedouin traditional foods. And the campsite is not far anyway from Wadi Rum small town(10mins by jeep) if you are about to catch up the bus to go to Petra at 9am. The surrounding was so breathtaking and peaceful. The campsite also good for the sunset spot in Wadi Rum.

“A wonderful experience - authentic and fun - perfect with kids”
Reviewed January 7, 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We had a great time with Saleh, ALia, Atik and the their kids. Alia is the best cook of Wadi rum and you will not miss anything on the table. Atik is a great guide in the desert, good climber and really fun to sand board with. The camp has enough place to sleep in 20 persons, toilets and a shower.
My little 5 year old daughter would have stayed 2 weeks and it was hard to leave for all of us… we lost our heart to saleh's family and really relaxed our minds in this fantastic nature and setting. Highly recommended to go there and trust saleh and Atik - they really know the desert.

“Amazing experience in Wadi Rum”
Reviewed January 3, 2014 for a stay in December 2013

Thanks to Saleh (the owner) and his wonderful family, we had a great experience around the Desert of Wadi Rum.
We booked through his official website and, after that, we kept in touch with Saleh through his personal e-mail (it's in the website).
When we arrived at Wadi Rum Visitor Center, Saleh was waiting for us and took us at his home where we left our car and we had a delicious breakfast.
After that, we started the tour into Wadi Rum where Saleh showed us secret points and explained the history of the several places we saw. We also tried the snowboard on the dunes! Very Funny!!!
Lunch and dinner (beduin) were very good and rich and the camp was furnished for all needs.

“Incredible experience in the desert”
Reviewed November 20, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We spent 24 hours with Saleh in his lovely camp in Wadi Rum and fell in love with the desert. The whole process was very easy, Tudor who helps Saleh with the bookings was incredibly helpful, suggesting ideas and fitting around our plans. We drove from Petra and Saleh met us at the visitor centre. We loved meeting all his family, and felt very welcome, his wife Alia was lovely and cooked the most amazing food for us.
He arranged Camels to take us out to the camp, we saw the most incredible sunset, and then star gazed at the beautiful sky. The next day we went round all the main sites of Wadi Rum and had a really fun and informative day in the hands of his brilliant brother Atiyek.
The whole experience was very personal and intimate, I felt like we were part of the family for 24 hours.
Wadi Rum was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been and the experience was pretty much perfect.

“Best memory of Jordan”
Reviewed November 20, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

Our Wadi Rum excursion began late in the day since we were driving in from Amman, Jordan. Despite a 4pm arrival, Attic and Saleh sat us down for tea, outfitted us with camels, and met us in the desert for a wild ride in the back of a pickup truck to a red sandstone mountain, where we climbed to watch sunset.

Our camp was a bedouin oasis in the Wadi Rum reserve, nestled against a towering rock face of red sandstone. Saleh had a tent prepared for us, complete with a full size bed and nightstand. We tucked in for tea beside a fire while Saleh’s wife prepared a traditional bedoiun dinner. We sat on the floor and ate food until we couldn’t move, then curled up by the fire for shisha and some drumming with Aliya and Saleh.

The next morning, we had coffee and breakfast before heading out to explore with Attic. We climbed arches, hiked through valleys, photographed cave drawings and tried boarding down sand dunes. Saleh and his family were more than accommodating, and amazing at snapping photos and adjusting itineraries. We loved every part of the camping experience, and would highly recommend!
