Wow. Had a meal with my wife at the new coachman. The upgrade is terrific.

Really impressed with the new menu and the food was superb. Service excellent. Will return again. Great to have this place back looking so smart.

Lovely pub, good atmosphere. Not eaten here yet but keep returning for drinks. Fairly priced for a village pub, can get quite busy especially on weekends. Weekdays relaxed and quite. Well worth a visit if you pass!

We had drinks at 7.40pm and asked the bar staff for menus who did not even bring them over and we asked twice!. We were stood at the bar at 8.50 waiting to be served, finally we were served at 9.00 when we told it was to late to order food as they had a large party in of 20 and the chef had turned the ovens off. Totally ignorant staff, very poor service, complete waste of a night. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Ended up going to 'The Indian' in Northwich, as reliable as ever and a good meal. Get your staff right and your service right or you will end up with an old fashioned drinking pub or youngsters pub as it used to be. Very very poor service.

Since the refurb this pub/hotel looks amazing. Only opened last weekend, few teething problems with the tills but I have to say, atmosphere is lovely, staff very friendly and polite but best of all-
Food, absolutely fantastic. Can't praise enough. Everything home made, served hot, well presented and reasonably priced. The talented chef pays attention to detail and produces flavours to tempt any palate. Also my 10 yr old granddaughter was delighted to be called a "Young Diner" as opposed to a "child"
A must visit for anyone who recognises perfectly cooked food and served with pride.
We will definitely be frequenting this hostelry, serving, (in our opinion), the best food in the area.
Thank-you

We are staying in room 3 as I write this review. We arrived to find the staff a bit "off" with us and now we can see why.
The door lock on the room outer door is loose and we walked in to find a room that
A) hadn't been hoovered with a dirty carpet
B) a cold room
C) small things wrong like very dusty lampshades
D) worn and frayed carpets
E) it's 9pm as I write and there is no hot water available!

The website uses words like "luxury" and quite frankly there isn't any!

As it turns out the hotel has changed hands apparently. One can only hope that the new owner has the sense to gut it and start again we feel is poor value. Premier Inn is a much safer bet!
