My husband and I had Sunday lunch here today along with our grand daughter. The food was not good at all. Boring vegetables, no imagination and they were just warm. Only 5 boiled potatoes between three of us. When the plate arrived it looked disgusting the beef was absolutely drowned in gravy, roast potato not cooked properly and a massive Yorkshire pudding which was equally disgusting. We felt very rushed and obviously they are more interested in the number of customers and not the quality of the food. Having said that being rushed was good for us as we were very glad to get out of there. Obviously we shall not visit again.

A lovely Inn, superbly run with a great atmosphere. If cooking had been better it would have got 5 stars. We had three 10oz rump steaks and a 8oz sirlion steak. The steaks were cut very thin, were probably pan fried, and were dry and tasteless. Everything else about the meal was excellent.
We liked the place and the staff very much and we will go back. I hope they consider changing the supply and cooking of the steaks.

Stopped here for lunch after exploring the castle and watermill. We really enjoyed the food and the portion size is good for big eaters. This Inn is well worth a visit even if it's just for a coffee.

Came here yesterday as a group of 6 with 2 dogs. We had prebooked but was still put on a table with a small circular table at the end and it was very cramped. I had a camembert sharer for starter which came with vegetables and breadsticks but would have been nicer with some fresh crusty bread and chutney. The rest enjoyed their starters. I had the steak for main which was delicious as was the chips but the rest had lasagne which was more just cheesy mince and none of them were impressed. There was no pasta. The salad with the lasagne also had a boiled egg which was just weird. There was also a function on upstairs so it was very noisy. All in all it was a mixed review but the overall consensus was our visit was disappointing. Staff were lovely and attentive though and it's excellent that dogs are allowed

We had a nice welcome at the Caew Inn,it was really busy as it was the Ironman contest that weekend. We had a table in the bar,as we had our dog with us.I opted for the leek and potato soup,it was thick and tasty,my husband had the mackerel pate, both he and the dog enjoyrd it ! I had the chicken and mushroom pie, with veg and potatoes,it was excellant. My husband had the pork parcel and he said iwtwas really gppd. We both opted for the strawberry crumble cake,it was lovely. We enjoyed our meal here, even though it was massively busy, the service was quick and came with a smile. We'd definitely go back. The castle is oppposite to walk all the lovely food off
