Very pleasant staff, although we did wait for nearly an hour before our food arrived. When the food did turn up it was very average and nothing special at all. The children's meals were particularly over cooked and oily. The car park is small and was full when we arrived but there is parking across the road at Carew Castle.

This is a lovely pub to visit after being in the castle, the host is a lovely lady, the menu is very reasonable with all your favourites. The price is very reasonable too.

We booked a table for for 8 at 7pm. We were greeted and shown to our table. Drinks arrived shortly after and the food order was taken by a very polite member of staff.
The starters arrived and meals shortly after, they were a good size and very good quality.
The meals are a little higher priced than average, however they are Worth every penny, very well presented, tasty and the atmosphere is great.
There is plenty to choose from I will definitely return next time we are in the area.

We wanted lunch after walking around the castle and Tidal mill. The kids had a sandwich each which was good in size and they liked the food. Both the wife and myself had a baguettte each which was good. The only downside was the price which I thought was too expensive. Probably wouldn't go here again as nothing special.

I visited Carew Inn which is a historic country pub next to the Castle. There is a well balanced menu and specials boards with produce sourced locally. I was tempted by the steak au poivre but finally decided upon the sea bass served with a variety of fresh vegetables. Delicious food and great ambience.
