Very disappointing , bathroom grubby no glass. Duvet cover torn and just a general tired uncared for feel. Went for breakfast 3 people were sitting with their heavy coats on, didn't take long to find out why. I think the least people expect is a pot of tea at breakfast. The evening meal was average, tables scratched and dented not set when we were shown to our table, had to take salt and pepper from another table.

My Brother booked this Lovely surprise for my Sister and I as part of my Birthday treat, we had a fabulous time and the staff were so friendly and courteous, in particular Linda in reception, she was so lovely, our Meal was the nicest meal I have ever had, and Breakfast was delicious, I thought the prices for Dinner were fabulous and well worth the money, I would highly recommend this Hotel to all of my Family and Friends, we came to your Hotel 3 years ago for my 30th birthday and our stay was most enjoyable and I had the best time, thank you Halo Crowwood for a fabulous time and Birthday, I can't wait to visit again xxx

We had booked a one-night stay, with dinner, bed and breakfast at this hotel through LateRooms, but not using the popular Groupon deal. Arrived late afternoon, and was given a room furthest away from reception, as I had asked for a very quiet one, if possible., Receptionist was pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and tidy, but very tired and dated, ( 2 identical pictures in the room, with one turned round 90 degrees to make it look different !!!!)

If you have to stay at this hotel, its worth checking to see if there's a function on at the same time. Wedding, party, or whatever. If there is.... DON'T GO !!! Our misfortune was to be there when a wedding was on.

When we arrived for the evening meal around 8.15pm, the staff looked harassed and exhausted. There was thumping music blaring out, so loud you couldn't hear someone a few feet away, speaking. We were then told that there was an allowance of £12 for the meal. Now, given that the advertised deal was for a 3 course meal and a bottle of wine, there was no way on this earth, given that the cheapest main course was about £8 and starter was £3.50, that anybody could have 3 courses for that price. So that was a bit of a con.

Luckily we settled for a main course only, which took over 30 minutes to arrive, otherwise we may still be sitting there now !!! Food was poor to average. Cheap, frozen, nasty.

Did I mention the quiet room ? Unfortunately, the wedding guests had booked surrounding rooms, and there was a CONSTANT stream of people running up and down the corridor, shouting, knocking doors, fighting, opening doors and slamming them shut. Literally all night and seemingly at 15 minute intervals. Not perhaps anything the hotel staff could do about, but you'd think they'd at least be aware. Oh yes.. smoke alarms going off too.... I forgot about that.

Didn't bother going down for breakfast, as if it was anything like dinner, we'd only be disappointed. There may be a better experience to be had at this hotel, if you're lucky enough to go when there ISN'T a function on. But even so, I still wouldn't give it a second chance.

Hello
We had an afternoon tea there and it is not a place I would recommend to a friend. I called to book a table and they did not have any prove of my reservation. Staff seem to be not ready with table and it just a routine. we did not feel welcomed. Food was VERY poorly served for the afternoon tea . Sandwiches and scones medium quality , not even mentioning cakes. Food served not really presentable way. Just mediocre quality overall that makes you feel I will not be back.
We had a groupon voucher so money for a paid value. (hotel's menu price £31) which seems a fortune for supermarket cafe quality.

Went to the new year celebration here the food and dj was great but hotel not good at all paid £250 really it wasnt worth it, there was no phone in room so couldnt get in touch with reception when someone was trying to get in my room all night, paper coming off walls, really dirty, freezing, 1 towel between the 2 of us, only stayed 1 night and wont ever stay again, every guest we spoke to this morning felt the same way and were leaving early.
