My family had a great time at Legacy Yen Tu. We loved the quite atmosphere here and surrounding landscape. The service was perfect, especially the room cleaning. Our room was spacious with a beautiful view to the garden. Housekeeping staff even put a nice gift of chocolate biscuits on our table before bed time which my daughter loved a lot. It was my best family vacation.

Room tip: garden view

From the moment you approach this hotel it will take your breath away! The 'wow factor' is everywhere: the decor and design of reception, rooms, pool, bar and restaurant are all exceptional and worthy of a page in ‘World of Interiors’.

The staff are especially helpful and simply lovely people. Nguyen and her team arranged everything for us from a free shuttle and advanced tickets to Ye Tu Mountain to taxis and services to Ha Long Bay. The grounds to this hotel are huge and there are staff members everywhere to help with anything. The bedrooms: I entered my room and my jaw dropped. Huge rooms with double height ceilings, quiet aircon, deep luxurious bed and soft linens, large double sink washrooms with huge rain shower and attention to detail that simply must be experienced.

And then there's the view! Open the floor-to-ceiling wooden doors (I was in room 218) to a terrace with full view of the village and mountains beyond (request it when you book). The only drawback for now is that the spa is under construction (I cannot wait to experience the spa!)

We ate every night of our stay in the restaurant and were never disappointed: generous buffet (on some days) and al la carte offerings of chef-prepared Vietnamese specialities, sushi and fresh buffet treats. The service by the restaurant staff was exceptional and to a very high standard. There’s also a gorgeous pool, free cooking classes and yoga instruction. They have a fantastic happy hour in the beautifully decorated bar area and Tru the bartender made sure we had everything we needed. Legacy Yen Tu Hotel really must be experienced -- I will come back and stay longer.

Room tip: Room 218 (and that side of the hotel) had the best views of the village and mountain;

To say this hotel has a Wow factor would be an understatement. It'll take you well over an hour just to explore the magnificent buildings and grounds.
Our junior suite was fabulous. The bed was enormous and very comfortable. The indoor/outdoor sitting area includes two comfy settees, coffee tables and a huge copper bath tub, in which to relax whilst taking in views of the rain forest and mountains. There was also a separate bathroom, toilet and walk in wardrobe/dressing room.
The restaurant is splendid. For breakfast, one room is entirely taken up with the buffet, which is excellent, with all the usual offerings, plus sushi and Vietnamese specialties. The dinner menu offers everything from simple starters to multi-course set menus. Food was flavoursome and very reasonably priced.
Very generous platinum Le Club Accor benefits were given: a double accommodation upgrade, welcome gift, fruit platter and sweet treats, welcome drinks and free breakfast. To top it off, as they don't have a club lounge, each evening we were offered a free flow of pre-dinner drinks in the bar and a tray of canapes which were delicious and beautifully presented.
They offer a lot of little extras. We took the free shuttle to the cable car station that takes you up the mountain. (You can buy the cable car tickets at reception and charge it to your room.) We also took part in a free meditation session and an early morning yoga class.
The staff are all young, great looking and beautifully dressed. Everyone we met, from the yoga instructor and front of house, to management and waitstaff in the bar and restaurant was exemplary, being both friendly and efficient. Pre-stay emails were answered promptly and all requests granted.

We found out about this place after searching for some kind of wellness/yoga/meditation retreat that wasn’t too expensive - what better place than in the beautiful mountains of Vietnam. It’s also a sacred and spiritual place - which is exactly the kind of thing we was looking for

The rooms are absolutely stunning (junior king suite) very clean, huge bed, beautiful view from the bath tub. The outdoor pool is beautiful and the gym is well equipped and hardly used so I found I had it to myself most of the time which was perfect.

The staff were excellent from beginning to end. Very friendly, happy to help and genuine. A special mention to Henry and Peter (not sure of their Vietnamese names).

We had higher hopes for the yoga classes - I attended 3/3 mornings however they seemed to be on repeat, I think the whole point is just to attend the 1 class during your stay. I throughly enjoyed the Vietnamese mans class (he couldn’t speak English) but the class was more varied and challenging :)

The food was great, good value for money. However 1 thing we were very disappointed with was the price of the buffet breakfast - yes there are a variety of things to choose from but most people don’t eat 5/6 plates for breakfast and that is the only way you would get your moneys worth - we only paid for 1 day of buffet breakfast then chose a la carte afterwards despite the chef refusing this on our first morning.. not sure what happened there

1 thing I think other people need to realise is that this is a place of religion and spirituality - some women were ignoring the dress code, 1 woman blasting music through a speaker and disrespecting the hotel rules. I hope this place is not ruined by tourists because it’s so peaceful and stunning and the staff are so amazing it would be a shame.. but I’m glad I got to visit before it becomes too expensive and crowded :)

Thank you for a perfect stay x
