Been a bit lazy recently about taking the time to write reviews on places we have been, however we put so much reliance on trip advisor on picking our hotels thought it was only fair to write our experience, which I might add seems similer to most people who have stayed at Petsas. Important to mention, we look for quiet areas, not too loud not too quiet as our days of throwing shapes on the dance floor are pretty much behind us.
1) Location- Probably the best thing about the apts, Coral Bay was to us a lot nicer than the built up Paphos, the apts are about 10 mins from the beach, 5 mins from the coral bay drag-quite a few pubs and eateries- and if your room was facing the right way a great view of the pool and the sea.
2)Apts-Large clean with a nice balcony and basic but with everything you need for selfcatering. They are a bit dated and looks abit like a block of flats from the outside but were actually very comfortable. Dont be tempted to save money and not have the sea view as I believe it will change the holiday, the inland view is of a supermarket and main road. On that subject the supermarket is very good and at comparable prices to ours.
3)value- Dont know what to say £20 a night for a one bedroom apt which was cleaned every day,I am still at a loss as to where they make a profit. We had the tx's service from the airport so we stopped at lots of other apt's and hotels to pick up others and we still thought our location and fascilities were where we would want to be.
A slightly cautionary note, we were there in April and we found a lot of the beaches to be polluted by tar, dont know what has happened but we got it over our beach towels and pretty much everything that came into contact with the sand.Even as far as Lara Bay had tar on it.
On Lara bay, we hired a quad bike for the day ,(you need one as the road is sand and stone for 20km), from the main street, we used golden rentals, and had an amazing day going to the inaccessable areas of the island where we visited Lara bay where the turtles breed and the Gorge which are all on the tourist maps-great fun and the rental was only £50. If you do this please be careful as the tracks are tricky and although the quad bikes are quality they take a bit of getting used to.
Anyway there is plenty to do and if we ever go back to Cyprus we will definately stay at these apts.(olive oil rubbed into tar will help break it down)

Room Tip: Must have a sea View, the higher the floor the better-only 5 storeys high

Can't beat this place for the price... they kept the place clean, the view from the balcony was great and it was a large apartment... did I mention the price??? We went during the Cyprus crisis, so the price may not be routine, but 25 euro for all of that? They include soap/shampoo and keep your place clean and stocked. They also provide dish washing soap and full kitchen. The room was cleaned daily. It was a decent place with an OK location. I'd stay again if in the Paphos area.

Stayed at the Petsas apartments for two weeks, the apartments are very dated but clean and the owners are very nice,we had apartment 103 on the first floor, which had nice views over fields but had a generater below which run 24 7 and noise took some getting use to, so avoid if possible, but other than that we had no complaints for what we paid.

A budget break taken at the Petsas Apartments in Coral Bay proved to be a bargain holiday, the apartment (202) was situared on the top floor away from the pool and partially away from the road,
Although dated the apartment was clean ,quiet, and comfortable, The staff were unobtrusive and helpfull, the position of the apartments is 400 meters from the "strip" but in late Febuary early March this was not a problem as the small resort was pretty quiet, the Kitchen area was adequate with a dining table and 4 chairs. the bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water.
Directly opposite is a very well stocked supermarket, which we found to be very well priced and had a great selection of food and drinks.
I would be glad to recommend this to any one looking for a simple and relaxing holiday, and if we stop in the Paphos area we will definetely stay at the Petsas again.

Room Tip: Room 202 is great, 2 balconies one facing east (morning sun) and the other south(always a winner)

Great hotel, very clean, quiet and huge rooms. 5 minutes from all the bars and restaurants in coral bay and a supermarket across the road. The hotel is ideally situated to use as a base to explore the island.
The bus service to Paphos runs very regularly and the last bus to leave Paphos back to Coral leaves around midnight. There are a couple of bars on the sea front that you can take leisurely walk to and enjoy the views with a nice cold drink. All in all the Petsas apartments has almost everything going for it.

Room Tip: Rooms with a sea view are great for seeing sunrise / sunset.
