We have stayed at Bruern Cottages several times and knew what to expect. We were not disappointed. The cottage, Saratoga, was spotlessly clean, fresh linen on the bed, logs and firewood for lighting a wod burner. A parcel of food for our stay, including milk, tea, cake, eggs, bread, fruit juice, and even a bottle of champagne to enjoy.
The stafff were friendly and efficient. There is a swimming pool.
We enjoyed our stay.
converted stables to very high standard. Own secluded private garden.Very high standard of comfort, peaceful.
Access to bridle walks.
Dog was also very happy
Also has lots of facilities for small children and swimming pool that we did not use
We have been twice before and haven't been back in a few years as we have acquired dogs in the meantime. So, our third visit - things are not quite as newly refurbished and plush but it still offers that luxury feel for a relaxing break far from the madding crowd. All in all lovely accommodation and highly recommended alongside Warkworth and Kenmore as our triumvirate of destinations for staycactions in the UK. PS you can tell I've been on the G&T and Champers!! Apologies for the rhetoric and rubbish prose.
We stayed here for our 'familymoon' after our wedding in March this year. It was a very quiet time of year so we had the pool to ourselves! The cottage was Saratoga and very tidy, quaint and comfortable. The little touches such as the champagne and food in the fridge was a nice welcome.
They provided us with a cot and stairgates for our little one and there was always someone around to help. Only thing (and its a little thing) our meal we ordered was still in the freezer and the instructions were to defrost overnight.
Overall a lovely relaxing break for us and I would recommend to anyone.
