Red Stone Hills was really lovely. Well equipped and good facilities. We got an upgrade because of a burst water pipe, so we were lucky. Wood for sale on the property ! Staff very helpful with sorting out a small geyser issue ! Great place.

Room Tip: All cottages looked good. All have lovely views of the mountains.

My husband and I stayed in Red Rock cottage for two nights. It was just perfect. We were warmly welcomed by Petro who cooked us the most delicious meal the following night. The scenery was spectacular. We had not seen anything like the red stone hills anywhere else in South Africa. Just beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed the bird life and the sight of the three klipspringers looking down on us from the hill tops. Our stay was relaxing and rejuvenating.and we would highly recommend Red Stone Hills as a preferred stop along Route 62 or just as a get away from city life. Bertie and Wendy Kerr

Room Tip: We loved Red Rock cottage. The position was perfect.

Saw an article of the Red Stone Hills in the "Karoo Cook Book" and had it on my bucket list....
I said to my husband as we rounded the curve and they came into view " I sure am glad I didn't miss seeing this in my life-time!" I am 70! He agreed that at 81 years of age he was just as delighted not to have missed it! and it was just a toddle away from Hermanus where we live! What a delightful time we had. He enjoyed the Sat. TV. (all the sport) while I felt quite free to roam the farm roads and paths with the neighbors dog Sally! Coming back to a beautifully laid table with a healthy and hearty meal provided at a reasonable cost. Remember to take a good bottle of wine. The second night we braaied under the stars. It was idyllic. The stress felt before our trip rolled off as we viewed the magnificent creation there. Thank you Petro and Hermanus and Cecilia who also accompanied me on a walk. We'll be back! We have recently stayed at Red Stone Hills in Bushman's Cottage. What a magical place - full of character and history. Petro is a great hostess and we appreciated having our dinners delivered to the cottage. The geography of the area is very interesting; and the birding is very good. Wonderful sunsets and beautiful scenery. We loved our stay there - thank you to Petro!

21 keen birders have visited the Red Stone hills again - it's a delightful place with very good accommodation available in characterful cottages. The area is magnificent and the name is exactly what it's about - the most beautiful and unique red hills. The hosts are so enthusiastic and keen to please that a visit there is just so pleasing. We will be back - the birding is good, the place is wonderful - a place of calm and beauty in a rugged environment. We all 21 of us loved the place!

Room Tip: All the cottages are lovely - Enon is a tad rustic.
