“Complete relaxation, one of our best holidays yet!”
Reviewed January 4, 2017 for a stay in July 2016

We were two young families and a set of grandparents, 9 of us in total. There was so much space that you never felt on top of each other. Great amenities at the house, everything you could possibly need. The children (aged 6,7,8) all loved the pool by day and spent their evenings kicking a ball around the vast garden. We never tired of looking at the stunning sunflower fields next door and the bats kept us entertained at dusk! So peaceful and we were relaxed from the second we arrived (even after a non-stop 13 hour car journey!). Definitely one of our best holidays to date. We hope to be back again soon!

“Fabulous farmhouse in a beautiful location”
Reviewed October 27, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We were lucky enough to stay in this fabulous farmhouse for 2 weeks this summer. Travelling as 2 families with children between the ages of 8-12 it was ideal. The space both inside and outside of the farmhouse was great. The grounds were especially good for active children! The pool was excellent, a really great size and with plenty of sunloungers/ chairs for relaxing. Everything had been thought of & the house was very well equipped. Great information provided including directions and suggestions for things to do. A great location to be able to explore this area of France.

“Beautiful, tranquil farmhouse”
Reviewed November 1, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Damouran is a fabulous farmhouse tucked away on the edge of Seyches, sitting in a huge garden surrounded by farmland. We were a family of six so there was plenty of space both inside and out. The facilities were excellent with a well-stocked kitchen, BBQ, two outside dining areas and a lovely big pool. The orchard was an added bonus where guests are encouraged to pick the fruit.
As a road cyclist I must comment on just how amazing the local roads are; on my first ride I only saw 15-20 cars over 30 miles on the back roads, all of which are in perfect condition !! There are no monster climbs but if you want to cover some miles to ward off the inevitable French diet of croissants, bread, pate and cheese then the rolling hills are perfect.

“Lots of space to relax and unwind, in and around the farmhouse”
Reviewed September 22, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The farmhouse is well equipped and very comfortable and spacious and quiet, it is a great location for discovering this area of France. There are several options for dining inside or outside (both covered and open), we had mixed weather so we tried them all! The pool and pool terrace is private and can be enjoyed from sunrise to sunset.
We stayed in May/June and couldn't get over the brilliant clear sunlight that made the plants and trees in the garden and grounds come alive, not forgetting the view across the fields to Seyches and beyond that changes with each hour of the day - I couldn't put my camera away!
Ironically, of the several local restaurants we tried, our favourite was the Hotel Le Vieux Porche in Seyches which is the closest (and walkable, about 1km)! The same thing for the bakers, the one in Seyches village makes the best bread (and cakes!!!). We made several cycling tours around the local back roads (NB. 'rolling hills', not flat) and would reward ourselves with coffee and cake at the boulangerie and watch the village life unfold :-)

“Peaceful location, but close to amenities”
Reviewed July 21, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

A beautiful setting, with covered outdoor eating areas. Very private with good facilities and outdoor pool. An ideal place to relax and unwind. Restaurants and supermarkets close by. You gain a real sense of escaping it all, which is the sign of o good holiday.

“Perfect farmhouse from which to relax or explore”
Reviewed December 16, 2012 for a stay in July 2012

This idyllic and tranquil farmhouse was perfect for our family holiday. There were nine of us - 5 adults and 4 children - and there was plenty of space for us inside the house and around the grounds - which were surrounded by fields of sunflowers.
The house is set well back from the road ensuring privacy and it is possible to walk into the nearby village of Seyches. The swimming pool is excellent and it is salt water rather than chlorinated, which is great. There was plenty of grassy space for the kids to run about.
We ate most of our meals outside enjoying the lovely views of the fields of sunflowers and the kitchen facilities are very good, including BBQ. The hotel restaurant in Seyches is incredible value and L'Imparfait in Bergerac is fantastic.
We definitely plan to return!
