This is something of a hidden gem. Impressive alley leading to a stupendous Abbey. Really worthwhile a visit. Big parking, paid. Visit itself is for free. This includes the inner courtyard, church and museum. There is also a nice shops with teas and liquors, honey. Other parts can only be visited with guided tour by a monk, and provided there are at least 30 people...

Beautiful functioning monastery. the facade of the church is breathtaking. Inside is majestic although not much is left of the frescoes and decoration. The chapels are unlit so it is impossible to see much. The small cloister which has frescoes (?) is closed for restoration. The large cloister is sublime but not much to see. Museum has some interesting plaster casts and some paintings upstairs. There is a core group of good paintings and the rest are similar to what you see all over Italy.
There is almost no information. There is/used to be a guided tour by monks but none in evidence. Men are not supposed to wear shorts but everyone did.
