“Very educational”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

Easy walk to the mill. Very educational about how the mill works. Good example of the craftsmanship and use of native resources in the contruction of the mill. Be sure and walk the length the mill race above the mill.

“Very Nice Walk”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

I learned alot about milling and that you don't need a large Water Wheel. Walk was not hard, was easy, leaves were very pretty.

“Quick Stop, Lots of History!”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

While driving along rt 441 on a family vacation we stopped at Mingus Mill. Although the mill was not operational at the time of our visit (it operates regularly we learned) we still left with an understanding of how the mill worked. The kids (7, 10,13) wanted to explore how the water was directed from the creek to the mill. It was a short walk (a couple hundred yards) to the origional source. It's a great place for pictures if you are a photographer!

“Fun Stop at the End of Newfound Gap Road”
Reviewed July 7, 2012

This was a great stop at the end of the Newfound Gap Road. We learned about the workings of a mill. There was a small gift shop; I personally thought it was a bit pricey. There were a lot of great photo opportunities, although at times it got a bit crowded.

“Nice Historic Building!”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

We stopped by the mill last Tuesday and enjoyed taking a tour. It is a working mill and you can purchase some of the flour or cornmeal afterwards if you like. The caretaker was a very personable and informative gentleman. If you like historic buildings you should stop by and take a look around. Very nice and quiet location.
