We stayed for 2 nights at the end of August and were really pleased with our room (White Scar), it's really spacious and quiet so a good night's sleep is guaranteed. Food qualilty is of the highest standard, it's well worth booking for an evening meal even if you're not staying - you won't be dissappointed as Alan, the owner, is a talented chef and his dishes are full of flavour.

My wife and i spent two nights here. We could not fault anything from the warm and friendly greeting to the spacious en-suite rooms and the hearty well presented food. In no doubt we will be returning back in the near future.

Just got back from a 5 night stay at the Brookhouse. Very good value for money. Stayed 5 nights dinner B&B for £199 pp. Stayed in the White Scar room, super king bed, very large bathroom with bath and shower. Plenty of wardrobe space. The food is excellent, compliments to Alan the owner/chef. It is definately as good as any 5 star restaurant. We will definately be making a return visit. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cosy B&B to relax and enjoy some fantastic food and wine.

Room Tip: We stayed in white scar which was lovely but there are 3 other rooms to choose from.

We have just returned after a short 3 day break to the Brookhouse Guest House in Clapham. It was absolutely brilliant and the food was outstanding with lamb shanks to die for, thank you Alan.

Spent two nights here attending a family wedding in the village. It is described as a "hidden gem" and that is just what it was. The room was nice, the bed massive and pillows to die for. Excellent breakfast and a great host. Thanks Alan for your hospitality. We hope to return for another stay. Very highly recommended. If you book here you will not be disappointed.
