A tasty brand of coffee and homemade fruit cake single handedly served by a lovely lady. We always call here for refreshment after walking up Ingleborough. If you don't like the staff situation then perhaps you could go to MacDonalds.

The thing people need to know is that its a one man (elderly lady ) operation and that said needs a little understanding when expecting meals at busy periods. The best time to visit is obviously mid week or quieter weekend times. There are occasions when she
has to refuse custom and I can understand people being annoyed.
On the other hand she serves some really nice simple food. My particular favorite being
her bacon bap, its got to be the best in the dales.
Give her a try, she's a lovely lady, needs patience, but she's we'll worth a visit.

Eleven of us stopped here while cycling the way of the roses, we had all sat down but where basically ignored, eventually we were told that there were to many of us to serve, we were not in a rush and just needed some refreshment, we have never been turned away from a café and have cycled most of England, just beyond belief.....

One of only two cafes in Clapham. Odd little place, the owner is a little quirky but the cakes are very nice. When we complimented her on it, she replied that she made them but didn't eat them, nor in fact anything she made in the cafe! She's really should cos she's missing a treat.
