The caves are billed as the Best caves in England. This is very true. After a steady climb and walk along the nature trail, the visit to the cave was excellent. Very knowledgeable and passionate guide, who took time to explain the facts in an interesting way. The lighting inside the cave highlighted the structures and showed the million year history of to its best. Great day out and not expensive.

I really enjoyed visiting the caves.
The guid was funny and very friendly he was very interesting and answered questions very well.
The caves were spectacular and amazing, great for children and all ages however elderly beware there are places where you have to duck.
I would recommend wearing a fleece or coat as it was quiet chilly.
There was an option to park at the top or walk up by the lake and park in clap ham .
Overall a wonderful and unique day out .

The walk to them is amazing with nice views and nice surroundings. The caves themselves were amazing and were very interesting. We went with two twelve year olds who loved it!!

Overall one of the best days out ever

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your kind words. We're glad that you and the youngsters enjoyed the trip! I would strongly recommend having a look at the Adventure Tours, enjoyable for both Adults and Children and something a little different from the standard tour!

We hope to see you again soon.

Kind Regards

The experience starts in Clapham Village as you have to walk about a mile to the cave, however it is a very pleasant and picturesque even in the rain! Also the walk up to the cave meant that we did not need to add more layers of clothing whilst inside. The guide was very informative and passionate about the subject, plus as there were children in the party he kept them rapt with myths about the cave. The following day we went to the White Scar Cave and did not enjoy it nearly as much as we were part of a large group and we only had one guide who rushed us through the cave but we could not hear what she was saying, at Ingleborough there was a guide at the front and the back (possibly because one was a trainee) which meant that if you were at the back of the group and could not hear everything the other guide filled you in. Also this tour was done at a much more leisurely pace with stops for interesting features whereas at White Scar they just have signs up and you are rushed past them. The White Scar Cave is more impressive but if you are only able to do one of the tour this is the one I would recommend because you learn more and are able to take it all in.

Drove down from Tyneside with my son who is 6. Parked in Clapham and had to walk a mile through lovely woodland to get to the cave. The cave tour guide was very informative and even though my son was the only child on the tour the guide cracked a few jokes to keep him happy. The tour lasted an hour which is great value for money (about £10 for my son & I). If you wish you can also follow the path past the cave to Gaping Gill and the top of Ingleborough Hill.
