Looks all nice inside open and airy , i went to meet with a old friend , we had a drink @ the bar
well 2 in fact , and thought mmmm something nice to eat , yes the menu is locally sourced which is a big tick , i noticed the rib eye Steak and we both ordered this , there were 3 sources offered béarnaise sauce, horseradish and something else , i asked the waitress could chef make a au poivre sauce , ( its a simple 60 seconds or so to make ) i got told no , so i ordered with bearnaise ,

i then notice that we had peppercorns on our table as condiments and took to the open plan kitchen to say i had solved problem , wow its like i committed a sin by going backstage

they were not interested and told me to leave the kitchen ( open plan ) , a little frustrated i then talked politely to the barman who had served us before to express i found the ingredients need
and i have never been treated like that in all the 58 countries i have visited and this is my home town imagine ,
then the lady that was the duty manager rushed over split us up by placing herself in-between and her face in mine , and i did not even ask her to come over how rude

the restaurant was 75 % empty at the time so the 7 people in the kitchen have a poor way of
showing there skills wow a sauce is so easy if you want to make the effort

so my findings were , the food was cooked well , but woe betide anyone , who wants something basic extra ( i thought thats what chefs were for )

and i did not like the bull from the kitchen telling they had no peppercorn`s when obviously there did , lazy chefs/staff, give restaurant owners a bad name

We met some friends for lunch in this somewhat unusual building, I can't work out whether it's trying to be modern or pretending to be an old converted barn, anyway it has a nice ambience and pleasant décor.
The food was very good and, thanks to a special January discount, very reasonable pricewise, but without the discount it would be quite expensive. The staff were very friendly and efficient too. All in all a very pleasant lunch and I can recommend it especially if there's a discount promotion.

We decided to give this restaurant a try since it was offering 40% off in January. Menu was limited and they had run out of dishes. Food was nice but would have been expensive without the discount.
