We discovered this little gem on a previous Cape visit, and looking forward to a return visit.
And yet again, Cafe Felix with its friendly staff didn't disappoint.
The whole menu looked divine, full of yummy winter-warming-dishes, I decided on the spicy butternut soup and wasn't disappointed, it's one of those dishes you can have morning, noon and night. My fiancee tried the spicy peri-peri chicken livers, and also loved it. Mains to be had was the Beef fillet (which was cooked to a perfect medium) and slow roasted Pork belly. Even though I couldn't, I still managed to squeeze in a heavenly slice of Tiramisu.
Another thumbs up goes to the staff and owner, as we were a bit of a late lunch, they made us feel completely relaxed and not rushed as we basked in the late afternoon sunlight in the garden in the back of the restaurant.
My only wish is that we lived closer to the Cape to be able to visit the picturesque little town of Riebeek Kasteel and Cafe Felix more often.
