It's a very pretty spot, but you can't use the toilets without paying to go into the museum or buying something in the coffee shop. You also can't go up the lighthouse. I would recommend a visit but limit exhibitions.

If you have a car then visit the lighthouse. There is a small cafe there and the views are stunning.

The lighthouse and nearby shoreline are well worth a few hours of your time. I ended up parking at a spot near the lighthouse and walked the shoreline for an hour or so. Many windsurfers were enjoying themselves at the time. My enjoyment, however, ended when I returned to the rental car to find the passenger's side window bashed in and just a cheap pair of water shoes stolen. $400 damage for a $30 pair of shoes. I suggest parking right at the lighthouse, where people are constantly coming and going. An alternative would be to drive the sand road along the shore, but I hesitated to do so with a rental car. Again, it's a neat area and I would like to return one day.

I love lighthouses as they are always placed in beautiful places. This one is situated in an amazing place! Loved it! There is a fishing museum there but I was not so interested in it. The information board was helpful. Just admire the views!

Fantastic location and has a very comprehensive tour that you follow at your own pace by following the signage. Extremely interesting geology & paleontology wise.
However, don't rush up to the cafe thinking they must surely have toilets. The currently do not!
And take heed navigating your way out. All the roads are flat and have no signs. You may end up in the same place about three times. Which is the cafe/lighthouse/museum without a public loo.
A dirt road that just doesn't really look like the correct way out (no recollection of coming in it) is the way out.
