“Consistently delicious”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Nothing fancy, but lots of seating and the seafood is fairly priced.
Great family place and don't leave without ordering one of the many different bowls of ceviche. mmmmm ceviche.

“Yummy”
Reviewed June 26, 2014

This restaurant is in a very nice setting in Santa Barbara here dia Costa Rica .
It has a lovely large terrace the service is very good and the food delicious.
The sea food is of very good quality and the portions are plentiful. You can also have good wines and very good costarican beer.
The meat dishes are also yummy with different sauces very tender beef or chicken.
The desserts are great and the fruit is the best.
Ofcourse finish with a cafecito coffee I mean
Bon appetite.
Price very reasonable

“Great Food and Service”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

Ate at El Banco de Los Mariscos twice while in Heredia (Santa Barbara) while staying at Finca Rosa Blanca Inn.It was recommended by Toto at the front desk and our tour guide, Manolo. For dinner we sat outside and had the nicest waiter who spoke no English. Between our little Spanish and his trying so hard to help us with the menu we ended up eating a delicious three course meal. The ceviche is absolutely the best!!! The arroz con camerones (rice with shrimp) and filet ajillo were so delicious. The desserts of tres leches and coconut flan were also winners. The waiter showed me how the Ticos drink agua con gas (club soda), pouring in a tiny amount of salt and squeezing in fresh lime juice (they actually cut up the fruit in four pieces). We loved the place so much we went back for lunch two days later. Go here if you are in Heredia (Santa Barbara) !!!

At last a good local seafood restaurant with fresh food at very reasonable prices. Very good selection of local fish. A bit of difficulty in ordering if you don't know Spanish.

“What a waste...”
Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

My friend and I really loved Costa Rican seafood but this place was a disaster. We ordered a sea bass filet with avocado and it came buried under cheese and drenched in oil. We couldn't even taste the fish! Unfortunately, this was a waste of time, money, and the opportunity to enjoy one of the many better places.
